Extremely poor care. Didn’t lay a hand on the patient but charted a thorough assessment. Had to seek him out and ask for pain meds for a hip fracture. Didn’t update us with imaging results. Found out about the hip fracture and need for surgery from the hospitalist who came to the ER room. Never returned to my room. Absolute garbage care

extremely rude DO
Probably the worst experience I’ve had with a doctor. Offered me pain meds within 5 minutes when my concerns were the severe swelling and blistering from a bad sunburn. He barely laid eyes on me and didn’t check the swelling. Acted like I was stupid for coming and at the end told me he “hoped I learned my lesson” but that I “probably didn’t and will just go get burnt again”. I plan to contact SF administration about this extremely rude and unprofessional behavior. He needs reprimand and more bedside manner training.

Basic wound Care
Deep laceration to the 5th digit L hand. Cut on glass in the trash. Required sutures. Sat in waiting room over 2 hours and never offered a basin to soak the wound. No one even assessed it. Once in ER, the wound was finally uncovered, sutured and never cleaned or dressed afterwards. 7 days later wound developed staph abcess and hand surgeon placed me on abx for an infection that may have been halted with simply soaking in an antibacterial solution the 2 hours I waited for wound closure. Honestly perplexed as to why wound was never uncovered or assessed by any healthcare provider until the moment before suturing? In reviewing My Chart Dr Armstrong reported that he did a full assessment but a stethoscope was never placed on me. He even charted that I smoked but have not smoked for over 14 years. I have photographed day 1-Day 12 of the wound progression and sadly I do not think I was offered basic wound care in a “Level 3 Trama Center” I can’t imagine being a lay person.

Rudest doctor I have met yet
Honestly to much to even talk about. The entire visit wasn't good up til the last 30 minutes and he realized that he was wrong about his assumption of the problem. The least caring doctor especially for a child.
