He doesn't give up on you like other doctors do
I have been seeing Dr. Hidalgo since about 1997. Although I originally saw him for migraines, they have stopped and other new problems have developed. One in particular was difficult to manage but Dr. Hidalgo kept at it until I felt better. I highly recommend Dr. Hidalgo.

Great man!
Has been my dr for 30 years. Found the problem that no one else could. Definitely worth the wait for an appointment.

The doctor ran a number of expensive test in his office. Told us what I did not have, but not what I had. I was having considerable trouble walking and with balance and had fallen several times. He ended up telling me to be more careful and aware of my surroundings. I went back again after my condition deteriorated more over three months. He had very poor notes from pervious visits and wanted to run more test. He was surprised I was having so much trouble walking, the whole reason for my first visits, and said he did not know that was an issue. I thought he had patients mixed up, but upon reflecting on that I do not think that was the case. I immediately found another neurologist who asked me a number of questions and diagnosed my problem without running a bunch of test. I had surgery that corrected the problem and I am now much better.

Don’t know how he calls himself a doctor
Had maybe 3 visits in total with him. Wanted to run tests I have already had done because “he wanted his own results”, test was done in his office. This test was a sleep deprived eeg, and during the test it was extremely loud in the office, and not a conducive place to have the test. I constantly had to bring reports in from tests he had asked to have run. He never was prepared, never had results when they know your coming in for a follow up. Last visit, he looks at myself and my spouse, says a few unintelligible words, and closes his folder says he doesn’t know what to do and leaves the room. That was it. Appointment over. We were and still are dumbfounded that this man calls himself a doctor and then treats people like dirt. He’s just another “doctor” looking to make money (running unnecessary tests), no compassion, no care. This office still runs on paper charts. Very disorganized. Don’t waste your time, money with this so called doctor.

On my first visit he spent over an hour with me. His examination was thorough and well-explained. Follow up with several tests were completed. I enjoyed his demeanor. I was invited to be a participant in managing my own health challenges.

Not only is he extermely thorough, he listens does not rush but is highly respected by other doctors. Office visits are long but that is because he takes his time with his patients. I will never recommend another neurologist.

The office is difficult to get ahold of. The phone lines are constantly busy. They state they are unable to set up a payment plan or auto pay for any money owed to them - which is unprofessional.

Office staff never answers the phone, I have tried for 3 months to have my MS medicine approved by Medicare (federal law, after I turned 65 in March). Dr. Hidalgo has been unable to supply the basic requested info. The specialty pharmacy is also unable to make contact with this office and called me today asking if I can try again (10th time) to have the office respond to requests from Medicare, Briova Rx and myself. My wife has gone to the office 4 time trying to resolve this issue.

Unable to get thru to office during regular office hours, says phone is busy. When getting thru, goes to voicemail. When in emergency room and asked for consult, doesn't show up, over 31 hours and no consult. Find another doctor.
