Dr. Celia Fernandez, MD

My mother was a pt, on medication that shouldn’t be stopped immediately and medication she needed to ease her pain and inflammation. This dr did not inform her of her move or the need to make an appointment as a new pt to be able to continue to be seen. My mother has been treated with indifference, she is 79. Requests for medication has gone unanswered. I inquired about rescheduling her appointment for vacation and received no response. So my mother missed vacation went to her appointment and was turned away by office stating she had canceled her appointment. ??? Then given another one months out yet still no medication to treat her painful Arthritis through out her body! This is how you treat your patients when you decide to branch out on your own? And the front office lollipops are unfriendly and uncaring in a setting that requires patience understanding and concern. This is not how you treat patients. This is not how you treat PEOPLE .

Dr. Fernandez always goes above and beyond caring for my needs. She is competent and professional yet very personable at the same time. She has been my "saving grace" on multiple occasions, particularly when very sick with covid-19. I will follow Dr. Fernandez anywhere she goes in north and central Alabama!
