Dr. Catherine Deteresa, MD

I have seen her twice now. She gave me options for my surgery needs and continues to support me. She was the 1st doctor to ask if it was ok to touch me before beginning any exam.

I came in feeling uncertain and a bit embarrassed but Dr. Deteresa made me feel very comfortable and offered reassurance to my concerns with facts. Will be making her my OBGYN. Loved her mannerisms and professionalism. Would recommend to anyone.

I absolutely LOVE DeTeresa!She listens to me & provides excellent feedback & advice when needed. I had 2 miscarriages before seeing DeTeresa & felt like I wasn’t being heard or taken seriously until I found her! I wish I could have started seeing her sooner. Honestly, couldn’t pick a better OB doctor to help me with all my pregnancy needs thus far. Definitely consider her - you won’t be disappointed! (:

My appointments always start on time. The staff is always pleasant and Dr. Deteresa is just the best all around. I’m glad I found her. She listens and work with me on solutions. The first ob in a long time to do that.

Short wait time to see provider. Understanding hears out your thoughts and concerns until relaying feedback. Highly recommend seeing this provider.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. De Teresa. She is very transparent and took her time to educate me on the questions I had and made me feel very comfortable during the exam. I can tell she values her patients.All the staff at VA Womens hospital were very friendly and professional. For once I look forward to going back to a Dr's office!

I felt heard. She was not rushing to get out of the room. We went over all of my concerns and she actually took the time to listen. I also have a lot of anxiety going to ANY doctors and she was understanding, calming, and gave me grace.

Dr. Deteresa. MD was my examining physician on Wed., Dec. 20, 2023 at the West Broad Street location of the Virginia Women's Center. I am grateful that I was able to secure an appointment after sustaining a very painful fall on 12-14-23.My appointment began with the introductions of Dr. Deteresa's nursing staff. This was a great team of two ladies who began my care on Dec. 20th. Efficient, knowledgeable, caring and genuinely exhibited a caring manner as a nursing team. Dr. Deteresa, MD took the time to listen to my concerns and then shared her valuableexpertise which was quite comforting for me at that time and up to now.I am already established with one of her colleagues; if I am in dire need of an immediateneed for Women's Health Care, if unable to be seen by my usual and wonderful provider, I intend to secure the appointment with Dr. Deteresa, MD.Thank you, Dr. Deteresa.

Dr. DeTeresa was incredibly kind and helpful. She took the time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions. I really appreciate that she talked through the exam with me before starting the exam and asked for permission before each part of the exam. Dr. Deteresa was a joy to have for my recent visit. I often struggle with medical visits, and was especially nervous for my iud replacement. She made me feel very heard when voicing my concerns and helped ease all of my anxiety. She was extremely caring, friendly, and patient. She also did an amazing job and made an uncomfortable appointment painless!
