I went to be with my dad after he had surgery to have his gallbladder removed. The surgery was performed by Dr Thomas. I was there by noon, right after my dad got out of surgery, and remained there the entire rest of the day, and never even met Dr. Thomas. He never once came in to check up on my dad, or even cared to come share his MRI results. After waiting patiently for 4 hours, I finally asked a nurse if they had heard any news on my dad’s MRI, to which the nurse responded that Dr. Thomas was irritated, and so he didn’t want to keep bugging him with questions. (This was the second time we had asked if the results were in yet, in a 4 hour time span). I gave up asking after that. My dad finally got word from an entirely different staff member later that evening of his MRI results. He was discharged the next morning after being told his liver enzymes were crazy high. Still no follow up from Dr. Thomas a week after initial surgery. Very disappointing.

I am a registered nurse and Dr. Thomas removed my father’s gallbladder. He did not check on him after his surgery. He sent one of his co-workers to check on him. He was discharged with liver enzymes in the 700’s and told to follow up with a gastroenterologist in a WEEK. The next day my father went to Lake View ER, very jaundiced. The whites of his were yellow. He had surgery again by a great surgeon. He had a retained stone. That surgeon checked on him TWICE after his surgery. Very disappointed with the care my father received.

We were visiting from TN and my husband had an emergency appendectomy. Dr. Thomas went above and beyond caring for him. My husband had a complication due to an ongoing health issue which kept us in the hospital for 5 days. Dr. Thomas had great compassion and helped him through it. We appreciate him and would feel very confident recommending Dr. Casey Thomas to anyone.
