Grateful!
We're so grateful that we found Dr. Mickler! My husband suffered a brainstem stroke in 2017. Since, we have had many, many eye appointments with many different doctors. But then we found Dr. Mickler, and instantly had hope! He understands the neurological side of the effects of my husband's eyes, and has been willing to tackle it with us. Dr. Mickler's knowledge, kindness, and sincerity have been a blessing. We're thankful.

Priceless eyes
Our journey began when our son was three years old! Our son had extreme exotropia esotropia and his eyes were drifting up and down. Dr. Mickler was very compassionate. He understood how a child is impacted by other children commenting negatively. Two other Opthomologists had performed surgery and the problems still existed. Dr. Mickler performed surgery two times on our son and attained perfection! There is no doctor I trust more than Dr. Mickler for our son's eyes. He explained everything well before and after every surgery. Our son has beautiful straight eyes now and that is a blessing. At seventeen years old, he is told by everyone what gorgeous eyes he has! Thanks Dr. Mickler!

Toddler with Exotropia
Dr. Mickler knows what he’s doing when it comes to toddlers with Exotropia. After surgery, a strict patching routine, tears, throwing fits, bribing with candy, and lots of prayers, my daughter now has straight eyes and 20/20 vision.

Lasted about two minutes. Said I didn’t have double vision. I do. Sent me to an optometrist which did me no good at all. I found a good doctor in Daphne who prescribes prisons for me so I can see.

Dr Mickler preformed strabismus surgery on 2 1/2 year old baby girl in April 2016. Through the whole process from the initial consultation to the day of surgery, he and his staff were absolutely amazing!! They calmed our fears and embraced us with their knowledge and support. Dr. Mickler is a walking, talking, talented, warm hug! I would fly around the globe to have my daughter see him, if we have any further problems in the future!
