The True Meaning of Holistic Medicine
Dr. Messere has been my Functional M.D. for more than a year. In that time, we have successfully addressed several issues that are common for a middle-aged woman, including managing hormones and eliminating hot flashes, reducing bloating and indigestion from digestive issues (using diet and supplements), losing stubborn weight, balancing mood, and improving hydration and athletic performance. I even feel comfortable in a bathing suit again. I believe I have experienced more success with Dr. Messere for two reasons, 1) She is a great doctor - has an excellent holistic understanding of the entire body, how various conditions are related, what supplements have a negative interaction, how habits and supplements can be managed to one's best advantage, and when to see a specialist, and 2) I have willingly listened to and implemented her advice. I am happy to have made so much progress over the past year, and I plan to continue on a path of continuous improvement. Thank you, Dr. Messere!

Dr. Messere is amazing. She listens to my issues, which change every visit of course, and is able to give me things to work on that are applicable and sustainable. I've made great changes in my health, I'm feeling better and I know there is more to come! Thank you Dr. Carolyn for all your help and guidance.
