Chip on Shoulder
I had one visit with Dr. Shay. She was almost rude & dismissive of my symptoms.she called a day after the CT results (which I had access to) & said everything was fine. I’d missed her call & called back. I’d read the report & said I don’t think everything is fine. She said well I do this for a living & I think your results are fine. Don’t you think the radiologist does this for a living, I thought? She was dismissive & seemed angry that I was questioning my health. When I inquired about the probable lesion found in the CT scan with dimensions her tone became even more distant. I inquired as to why my throat on the left side was still tender & she said well your right ear is clogged. What? Right vs left? NOT happy. Definitely getting a 2nd opinion!

Dr. Shea is very caring and empathetic with my child. She explains issues in a way he understands. She saw my son for an acute issue and we liked her so well that we switched over to her care. She is prompt calling you back when she is on call after office hours. We love her!!!

Great Dr. She has seen my little one since he was in the NICU. She takes the time to explain any questions we may have and friendly. We drive 2 1/2 hours to see her because she has been great and we would prefer to have the same Dr. follow my son while his eyes are still developing.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Shea?
Dr. Shea has the expertise to be a good Dr., but lacks the bedside manner and communication skills for truly patient centered care. She didn't even say hello to my husband or I, or acknowledge our presence until after the exam. Rude.
