I visited Carol Curly only once, more than 10 years ago, but the experience has stuck with me since. I did not choose her, but was appointed her as my PCP through the state. I went to her to find help with a medical problem I had been facing nearly all my life. I looked a bit different back then, I dressed maybe a bit crazy and I had a fake hairpiece I had made to hide my problem; Ms Curly laughed and mocked me, she said she knew my hair piece was fake and I felt nothing but judgement from her, and a rush to leave. In retrospect I believe she's normally a pediatrician but I did not know my way around the medical stuff, and a doctor should choose the profession because they want to help others, regardless of age or appearance. Maybe I caught her on a bad day, but that's no excuse to treat people who come to you for help with such a lack of compassion. I have not seen a doctor since, unless necessary for work, because of her.
