She was very condescending and treated me like a child, though I am an adult and am self-referred. She constantly interrupted me and did not allow me to finish my sentences. She compromised my sense of agency and autonomy by suggesting she knew my limits better than I know them. She was so bold as to suggest that perhaps I had selected the wrong career given that I have recently been diagnosed with PTSD. Overall, a very discouraging, shaming encounter. Utterly lacking in empathy

Dr. Childers changed my life for the better, starting many years ago. I suffered from anxiety and PTSD, which she finally gave a name to (and treatment for). If you're fortunate enough to see this brilliant, compassionate doctor, just be honest. She's the very best there is.

I had an appointment at 10am and Dr. Childers wasn't even in the building until 10:20am. When I finally met with her, she had low professionalism and spoke to me condescendingly. After about 10 minutes of being in a session with her, her phone rang and she answered it. She proceeded to talk on the phone for about 3-5 minutes before hanging up and continuing to speak at me. She did not apologize or excuse herself. Her phone call was also not an emergency where she needed to answer.
