NO FOLLOWUP
I had a chest xray screen done for any signs of Lung cancer, due to hx of smoking, immediate family currently going thru lung cancer treatment, father dying of lung cancer. Among other family members with cancer. NO FOLLOW-UP: I REVIEWED MY OWN RESULTS FROM PT. PORTAL, RADIOLOGIST WROTE : 'VERY SUSUPICIOUS FINDINGS, MULTIPLE LUNG NODULE FOUND WITH MEASUREMENTS. IMMEDIATE ADDITIONAL TESTING RECOMMENDED. THIS WAS ALMOST 2 MONTHS AGO. NO ONE CALLED TO SCHEDULE MORE TESTING, OR MAKE ME AWARE. I FOUND ANOTHER PRIMARY DR. Very disappointmented in Dr. Carmen Perez's office, since she left Millumum group, this office is NOT GOOD, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR ANYONE.

She is a 10 out of 10
She takes the time to listen to you then explain the best course of action for you, She treats you with respect and like a member of the family. We have recommended her to 2 our closest friends...they now feel the same way.Love her!

Horrible experience
I actually like Dr. Perez and loved Andrew, her PA, and Samantha, her NP but I had to change doctors. It is impossible to get through to the office to make an appointment or get medical records. No one ever answers the phone. I had to call multiple times for several days to get someone to answer the phone. No one returns calls if you leave a message. I never got test results and have no idea if there were any negative results on blood work, my Cologuard results, etc. when I would go in for an appointment, they never had my results or called me back. Andrew told me I had a heart murmur so he ordered an echocardiogram. I made an appointment with a cardiologist but couldn’t get results sent to him. I had to go into their office to ask for the results and wait for them to download the test results and take them to my cardiologist appointment myself. I finally gave up on them today, after several years of being treated this way.

Professional and caring doctor
She is thorough and careful in her exams and in her history-taking. She keeps up with current recommendations and testing requirements so that I felt comfortable that she was not missing anything. She is very personable and you feel she is concentrating on you.Her office staff used to be somewhat iffy, but I believe that they have improved.

Awful experience all the way around from trying to even get an appointment set up to even seeing the doctor. Absolutely no proper bedside mannerisms or care for patient or there needs more like a cattle line pushing in as many as possible as fast as possible don’t be over 10 mins late will be charged yet they book so many people will have to wait usually a hour or more. Oh and don’t try to be in a hurry when using lab place in the same office the tech will carry on with her personal convo on her ph etc and draw your blood without even verifying info it’s really a shame. Only decent one you might get lucky to see would be her PA Andrew whom is absolutely amazing unlike his ENTIRE TEAM referrals you’ll be lucky if get it within a month and if it is even for what you needed.

One star too many...
Our family agrees with all the negative comments already provided. Have tried for over a week to discuss recommended medication changes. No one answers the phone, nor do they return phone calls. Nothing at all. Nurse advised to not leave any messages with the answering service or voice messages on phone. She does not have time to respond to all calls she receives & usually does not check them at all. Her suggestion was for the patient to send an email to her. She checks her emails. This does not help when the patient is 87. Still no return call from Dr. Perez after a week. We are changing to another PCP. Someone needs to organize this office, insure enough staff to provide quality healthcare, and instruct Dr. Perez on the importance of telephoning patients when requested. This office feels like a clinic where they are pushing as many people through as possible without having the time to actually care for the patient.

Many office problems
My mother has seen Dr. Perez once in the last 3 years and the nurse practioner the many other times. The doctor seemed nice but seemed rushed during the visit. She really liked the NP's (Paulina and Andrew) and that's the only reason we have kept going. Her office is the worst run office I have seen. We've waited 3 weeks for a referral for a broken foot to see a podiatrist. I was told they were a month behind with referrals. You can never reach a person in the office, I have left messages at several extensions with no call back. They have a lab tech there to draw blood but sometimes she's there and sometimes she's not. Trying to get a Rx refill is very hard, even for the pharmacy. Then they will deny her blood pressure med that she has taken for years with no explanation. When you can finally reach a person on the phone to find out why, they will then refill it on the spot. The staff seems very overworked with no sense of responsibility they should have for the patient's health.

Upset
Dr. Perez is amazing, but only when she is with you in person. Her nursing and front office staff are terrible. It is impossible to get in touch. There is never a follow up or response to messages. There is never a follow through on the after plan or after visit. I am thoroughly disgusted. Like I said Dr. Perez is a great doctor, but everything else about the practice and how things work there is awful. To me the knowledge of Dr. Perez is not worth dealing with everything else or lack thereof. I need a new doctor because I cannot have an unreliable PCP who can only see you in 2 months and does not answer calls or messages and follow through with care plans and test results.

I hate leaving a bad rating but I had switched to her based on the recommendation of another doctor. (he actually suggested someone else but said she was okay also). You can never actually get in to see her, it is only the nurses. They said if I want to see a doctor it will be September. When I first requested to see a doctor I was told I would see the nurse first then doctor visits would be quick. Last time I called nobody called me back. This time it was ridiculous and I was told sick patients see the nurse only. I will be looking again it seems.

I LOVE Dr. Perez. She is very thorough and very patient. You never feel rushed. She takes her time explaining health conditions and takes time listening to your concerns. She takes the time to explain why you need tests or referrals to specialists. The only concern I have is that getting a return call from the office is close to impossible at times. It is a very busy office but sometimes you need a response in between appointments.

DR. Perez works deligently to resolve your health issues. She takes time to listen. Her staff, on the other hand is a ship wreck. There is always a problem getting medication approvals to pharmacy. Right now, I'm being treated by oncologist. My referral has run out. I've called to ask for a new referral, my Dr's. office has called---a week has passed, still no response. My insurance has not received any request. I can't believe they take so little regards for a person's well being. HELP!

Very bad experience, do not respect the times of the appointments, you should wait 2 and 3 hours in the waiting room and another half hour in the room inside. It is a lack of respect for patients, The front desk clerk loses the papers and never knows anything It's a site disaster. I changed my doctor today

We have been waiting on hospital bed for the last 7 months. DR. Perez's assistant Wynn, is the reason. She swears she hasn't seen a request. I had to get someone else involved 3 times recently & everything was there. DR will issue new RX & she doesn't call them in because she thinks they have enough. Pharmacy waits for weeks on her to call them in or correct her mistakes. I waited a month on insulin RX to be corrected because there were no directions or dosage. That was a deadly error.

Dr. Perez is a good doctor, but her office staff is worse than lousy. There has not been a single time I had to deal with them when there was not an issue with referrals getting lost, unfriendly and unprofessional staff members, confusion, rudeness. 1 example: Wednesday of last week I returned from a trip to Germany, where I had been in a severe bicycle accident that put me in hospital. I called her office all day next day, left urgent messages on their machine, no one called me back.

Dr. Perez is a good Dr. Her office staff in Kingwood Texas sucks. Referrals are wrong..faxed to wrong places and on and on. Today I waited 2 hours to see an orthopedic surgeon for a fractured arm. The referral was done I was assured weeks ago by Perezes office person. Well the surgeon would not take me cause in the end we find it was never done. Perez again the good Dr. Is not worth the constant problem with the office staff. Today I leave with an arm that needs attention badly.
