She was encouraging, thorough snd took the time to explain your condition. Never felt rushed. Only downside is her location. An hour drive is too long for me.

IDPR complaint re abandonment
As explained elsewhere, arrival 30 sec late results in rescheduling. Attempted to get to pm appointment through Rte 290 traffic twice. Initial visit mentioned issue re “trust” of physicians/offices. Rec’d EPIC message that I was no longer allowed to make appointment via the EHR and subsequently certified letter basically dismissing me from practice. Gave some Chicagowide Association as option tho find another rheumatologist (Little did they know, managed to pull some strings (referral from other rheumatologist’s patients and able to fill slot of someone unexpectedly cancelled week prior.) Most commonly, 3 month waiting period for New Patient Rheumatology appointments. And one medication required a Rx renewal which was promptly denied. Aside from usual delay in New Patient appointments, dismissing physicians are responsible for 30 days to transfer care. Tried calling Duly to complain as this amounts to “Abandonment of Patient “ and as I received no follow-up, filed formal complaint to….

The first appointment, Dr. Colbert said something to the tune of, "now I'm going to ask you 100 questions," and she certainly did. She was extremely thorough, listened to all of my concerns and most uniquely, when she prescribed me a medication she took the time to explain all of the side effects, which a doctor has never done for me in the past. She is extremely knowledgeable and understanding. I would 100% recommend her to anyone who is unfortunate enough to need a rheumatologist. She is outstanding.

We arrived for an appointment 15 minutes late (at most) and were turned away. We saw her for the first appointment and waited at least that in her waiting room. Staff was rude. We should have known because this happened to another person on our first visit and the staff said the patient " misheard appointment time on the phone" and they would not see her.

Over the course of 3 appointments I spent maybe 20 minutes with her total when I drove over an hour each time to see her (one way). My first appointment she didn’t even talk to me until the last 5 minutes. Her residents did the work (they were fantastic!) & then she contradicted them & herself each time I saw her. She was rude, abrupt, & quite uncaring. She never explained my condition or medications to me, was dismissive of my concerns & questions, & always seemed like she couldn’t wait to get out the door to someone else. Extremely disappointed with my care & honestly am glad she left her practice. I hope she retired so no one else has to have the horrible experience I did.

I love Dr. Colbert. I'm just sorry she is at a different location now but she was the best. She is a very smart, caring, wonderful R.A. Doctor and person. She always remembered your conversations and concerns and really listened to you to help you the best way possible. Not only that but I had a couple of other doctors who knew her and spoke very well of her and that spoke volumes to me. I will miss her.

Best doctor ever. She was friendly and always concerned about the welfare of her patients. She took the time to answer any concerns you had and made you feel at ease. She will be missed. If I knew what location she is now at, I would go there for treatment.
