Dr. Rivera is hands down one of the best sports medicine doctors I’ve worked with. He takes the time to truly listen, asks the right questions, and explains everything clearly. I’ve been seeing him for ongoing lumbar and back issues related to sports, and his approach is always focused, thorough, and personalized. Whether it’s reviewing imaging, discussing recovery strategies, or offering practical stretches and strengthening tips, he makes sure I feel confident in my treatment plan. I never feel rushed—he genuinely cares about getting me back to 100%. Highly recommend him to any athlete or active individual dealing with back or spine-related injuries.

Usually does well, what happened?
I was roomed fairly quickly for my follow up visit on Friday, Aug 2, but never seen. Checked with the clerk on status update at 1 hr past my appt and then again at 1.5 hours after. I was never updated by staff as to what the issue was and when I might be seen. I had to leave to get back to my hospital downtown.

I went back to Dr. Rivera because of pain in my back. Unfortunately what I am having is in the muscle, and a nerve block like I’m used to having will not help this.
