Dr. Carlos Ramirez-Icaza, MD

I saw Dr Ramirez because I had shortness of breath and cough that did not go away after being treated for an infection. When my chest xray after treatment came up normal, I told my doctor that I was still not better and needed to seek additional care. I was desperate to find out what was wrong with me. I went to Dr. Ramirez and he dismissed everything I was telling him. He said that "nothing was wrong with me, that my biggest problem is that I'm overweight." I am 5'2 150 lbs. He further claimed that I did not try on a breath test that his assistant administered. I told him to give me the test again and he refused. Fastforward to 9 months later and I ended up in the hospital with a blood clot that went to my lungs and after a CT scan it was discovered that I have lung cancer. I am now dealing with the fact that the progress of the cancer has spread since I saw Dr. Ramirez and had he listen to me, did additional testing it would have been detected early.

He is extremely caring and knowledgeable. Spends real time with his patient.
