Dr. Carlos Casas, MD

I was admitted on June 23rd 2024, for emergency craniotomy surgery from cancer that spread to my brain. Dr. Reyes made a conscious decision to proceed with my surgery after me becoming unresponsive and having no emergency contact on file. He did an amazing job removing my tumor. I am forever grateful for this doctor. He's highly educated and works with expertise, care, and concern. I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't from him canceling his time with his family, speeding to get to the ER to work on me as a patient. I pray God continues to bless him and his family. Beware of Greedy Neurosurgeon! My pain management doctor pin pointed my nerve pain to C3 & C5 w/Nerve blocks & Nerve ablations in the 18 months she treated me. She treated me for 2 different nerve pains coming from 2 different discs. She later referred me to Dr Casas for surgery. After he consulted with her & reviewed my MRI he recommended a discectomy of C3 and C5. He said the surgery was less invasive bc he didn’t have to do a fusion. After my insurance approved the surgery he changed the plan to only operate C5. He obviously changed the plan bc he wasn’t going to get paid as much as he thought. After he performed the surgery on C5 my nerve pain coming from C3 is still debilitating to me. Moving fwd after I pleaded my case asking why the sudden change of plan after he got my insurance approval for the surgery. I obviously needed C3 replaced as well. He turned me away & said Im sorry for your pain. How cruel. Im only 52 & have to live w/this debilitating pain on Disability.

Dr. Casas-Reyes has returned me to the place I I was way before the surgery. My gratitude for his skill is boundless.

1/12/2021 - Dr. Casas gave me back my health. I was in extremly pain 24/7, but thanks to Dr. Casas everything is back to normal.

Dr. Casas-Reyes gave me relief a few years back with an L4-L5 Laminectomy. I was super pleased with the entire process, the doctor, and staff. Very caring and responsive. I just came back to him because I fell a couple times and hurt my neck and possibly my lower back again. I will Never go to another Neuro again. Dr. Casas is Fantastic !

I went for a second opinion Dr.Casas explained everything in detail. He is very thorough, caring and has excellent bedside manors. I was relieved knowing I do not need surgery. His staff is great and professional as well. I definitely will recommend Dr. Casas. :)

Dr. Casas is an incredible doctor and surgeon. When I came to him with my back pain and spine injuries, he was clearly attentive to my concerns and needs. He presented a treatment plan I was comfortable with and it was very effective. I am so thankful for Dr. Casas’ caring bedside manner, his wisdom and gifted hands in managing my injuries. With his guidance and care, I am now agile and pain free. I would trust Dr. Casas with my spine or my loved ones spine any day.

I had an urgent back problem over the Christmas holidays. Dr. Casas met me in the emergency room and scheduled surgery for the next day. He was on vacation for the entire week between Christmas and New Year's, but he visited me in the hospital every day. The posterior lumbar inter-body fusion was a total success and I am pain free for the first time in years. Every aspect of my dealings with Dr. Casas has been positive, to include medical and administrative staff. I highly recommend him.

He strung me along for 4 years of my health care. Preformed a multi-level cervical surgery that should've resolved my pain. When it didn't, he push me to pain management, Dr. Wu. That didn't help the neck pain. Having degenerative back disease also, he planned to preform surgery on next. But never resolving the neck pain, just continued getting scans and x-rays of neck and back. Finding he missed an area. Then decided one day, out the blue, to turn me away. Recommending him would be a mistake!

Excellent experience wth Dr. Casas. I had a severely herniated cervical disc that required surgery. Dr. Casas, and his assistant Armondo, were very accomodating regarding scheduling. I did not have to wait long and the office is very organized and comfortable. Dr. Casas is professional and thorough. While in the hospital, Dr. Casas visited me the day before surgery, in pre-op, after surgery and the next day. He answered all my questions and concerns and I am now pain free!
