good doc, terrible office staff
First the bad: My daughter has terrible allergies. I went to this clinic for comprehensive testing. results showed severe allergies to multiple allergens. Dr Thornblade recommended immunotherapy shots. We proceeded with the recommendation only to find out too late, that the cost that I was quoted (which was significant) was not comprehensive. the fee schedule was only the start-up costs, and this was not explained. I have paid hundreds of dollars more than quoted. The staff (front desk staff and most clinic staff) do not communicate well, are often rude and dismissive, and ultimately abhorrent most days. I work in healthcare and have good understanding of medical costs and processes, but this office is not transparent. The good: my daughter is responding to the allergy shot treatment plan. her asthma is well controlled. Basically, smart doctor, terrible office staff, poor communication. Currently looking to transfer care to another allergy clinic.

Asthma
Dr. Thornblade spent a lot of time researching my condition, of which asthma is one factor. Because of his careful consideration the medications he prescribed have improved my symptoms tremendously. My improved breathing tests are proof. The office staff are busy but always pleasant and helpful.

I went to see Dr. Thornblade for testing after a severe reaction to a yellowjacket sting. The office atmosphere was very informal between staff and clients. I should have asked how much the testing would cost- after going through insurance I ended paying over a thousand dollars out of pocket. Then over a month later received another bill for $1500- just for the tests. These rounds of tests were all done in one day. He never told me how much the tests would cost.

The new office staff was extremely rude! They are not even real nurses that work there just making home do know anything! The dr kept me waiting. He schedules to many people at once. The office manager is disgusting. I will never go back to such an unprofessional place.

I would never go back to this doctor again. He was unkind, condescending, and dismissive. To make matters worse, all this was after having to sit in the waiting room until almost an hour after my appointment time. He also told me that I couldn't be allergic to something in a prescribed medication because pharmaceutical companies wouldn't put something harmful in their medications... I was speechless that an allergist apparently doesn't understand that drug allergies exist.

Dr. Thornblade and his nurse, Nichole went above and beyond for me. I was very anxious about my? appointment, and they were both so kind, informative, and caring. They never once downplayed my anxiety about things, instead they explained every piece? of information and let me go at my own pace. I am truly grateful for their kindness and care. There was a true confidence in care and knowledge. I very highly recommend him!

Dr. Thorn blade was uncaring and abrupt. After some yes I got he told me I did not have allergies. I began having an allergy attack in his office and he told me it was in my head. He told me he couldn't help me as he had another patient waiting. Do not use this guy!
