Dr. Carl Sartorius, MD

I was taken emergently to St Vincent’s Hospital with a subdural hematoma. He operated on me with skill and precision. I was discharged from the hospital is a couple of days.

I had to see Dr Sartorious last year. I won’t leave my name as I still do follow-ups. I hate dealing with his assistant Drew. She is way out in left field. So hard to schedule, communicate. Do anything. I’ve even tried to bypass her, they send me to her. My suggestion, see if she’s still there, if she is get another dr.

The staff was very welcoming and processed me in as a new patient very quickly and comfortably. Dr. Sartorius was clear and concise when explaining my condition to me. He went through different treatment options available to me and would stop and ask if I had any questions so far periodically to make sure I understood what we were discussing. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone and everyone that has spinal problems!!

I have been seeing Dr Sartorius for over a year now, and recently had a brain surgery to remove a tumor. I always feel at comfort when I have an appointment with him, he always takes time to answer my questions and put mine and my families minds at ease. My anxiety goes away as soon as he comes into the room.

Punctual, thorough, explained options and was opened to having family member participate from out of state participate via telephone. I have full confidence in his knowledge of how to proceed with my neck and arm pain which has been going on for more than 3 years I've been shuttled from doctor to doctor with no success. Ok I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Carl Satorius! I’ve dealt with Neck and arm pain almost two yrs. I just thought I’d slept wrong at first then I figured I needed to go to physical therapy! WRONG. Bulging disk and bone Spurs! He did a fusion and plate, as well as removed the bone Spurs! I felt instant relief in my left arm and two weeks later the right totally went away! I guess that’s common! Today no pain at all! Now I’m starting to exercise again! Thanks to Dr. Satorius and all the nurses and help at Goodman/ Campbell Brain and Spine!! A+! I know other friends that have gone there and they were totally happy! Would not go anywhere else! My ex had been to several back doctors and these doctors are on it! Thanks again!

Friendly, prompt exam with explaining my problem and treatment options

Very attentive Doctor. He took the time to explain EXACTLY what was happening and what could be done to correct my problem. He was compassionate and kind.

I got to my appointment 30 minutes early to complete paperwork for an 8:00am appointment. I no sooner sat down for less than 5 minutes to complete a stack of paperwork before I was taken back for vitals and sent to the exam room. I was going for a tumor on my spine. I was rushed and it was extremely frustrating. I was in the appointment early and out by 8:02. I spent the remainder of my time until 8:15 completing the original paperwork that I showed up early to complete. This is the problem with doctors. I felt rushed and treated as a number when I was unsure of the diagnosis to begin with. It is shameful we treat patients like cattle and it’s all about efficiency over customer experience and compassion.

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr Sartorious!! He is one of a kind when it comes to treating you like one of his family members. He is honest and upfront with information. He’s compassionate and genuinely cares about his patients. If you need a neurosurgeon, I would highly recommend him to anyone!

8 minutes ago I went to see Dr Sartorius last week. He and his nurse said no one at Goodman-Campbell would do anything except refer a person for pain management if they smoked any amount, even if it were like a pack a week and that they wouldn't do anything else for a yeat. This leads me to say they'd rather see a person paralyzed or dead than help. In my opinion, that's the worst type of Dr. DON'T GO THERE!!! EVER!!!

Dr, Sartorius just performed a third procedure on my back. We started at L4 and L5 and worked up to L3, L4 and repaired a bulging disc. He never was in a hurry to do surgery. He explained things thoroughly before and after surgery. He called me the two days following surgery. How many doctors take the time to do that today. He is a great surgeon and person who I trust completely. Dave z’ville
