Would love to have Dr Postighone as my doctor agai
I moved from New Jersey 2 years ago. I got on this website to look up some records and was stunned to see the 3.7 stars. I have rarely found a doctor that was so personable, so thorough and so caring as Dr Postighone. I never once felt rushed. I never once felt like all of my questions weren't answered. Dr Postighone is a good person, a great honest doctor and I would highly recommend to anyone interested. He deserves to be considered when looking for a doctor.

Terrible Experience, Questionable Doctor
The office is horrible and getting an answers from them or the Dr is nearly impossible. They will constantly tell you they will call back and wont, put you on hold over and over. Dr. Postighone does not listen and seems to be more interested in recommending treatments and expensive medications rather than really trying to understanding what's going. If you have a question that requires the office to speak to the Dr. Don't expect and answer unless you follow up multiple times over several days. I wish I could give a 0.

3 different calls at 3 different times lead to wait times in excess of 30 minutes each time. My doctor never communicated he would stop refilling a prescription until I was in need of a refill, giving me no time to make a specialist appointment. I’ve witnessed numerous times a patient was being talked about behind their backs but in front of patients like myself. They are constantly overwhelmed and complained to me they have too many patients. So if you want a doctor that just sees you as a dollar sign, this is the one.

I had settled on the idea that doctors were either brilliant at the science or had a great bedside manner. Dr. Postighone excels at both. He's sharp on the latest research and practice excellence, and is unfailingly personable. He listens, asks questions that go beyond the superficial, and encourages when helpful. He doesn't just treat an illness - he treats me within a broader context of what's going on in my life. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Absolutely would NOT recommend Dr. Postighone nor his office. The person that calls you back and reviews test results and makes diagnoses is a nurse practioner. Or Dr. Postighone pawns you off on his associate Dr. Pontecorvo-who in all honesty is a patient and responsive physician when he is given the opportunity. I feel that Dr. Postighone is too busy to listen or respond to my phone calls.

I've been going to Dr P for more than 25 years. He is the best internist I've been to. Among the best doctor. Always seems to know the latest medical news and treatments. Cares about your whole self, not just one area. And he listens. In ore recent years, I can tell he has been stretched time-wise, but I feel that is a function of medicine today, not him. He truly cares. His office staff could be a lot friendlier, that's for sure. And Rx refills take a while. But I wouldn't change to another doctor for the world.

He did not take my brother's hernia seriously, called it cosmetic. Too bad he had to have emergency surgery for a Strangulated Hernia. Stay away! Morristown Hospital is outstanding (by contrast).

Dr. Posthighone was my GP for approximately 15 years, until I moved out of the area. He is far and away the best GP I have ever dealt with. He listens carefully to his patients and always spends the necessary time to learn as much as he needs to know as to the appropriate next steps. In addition, when making referrals, he always selects doctors that he deems the best, regardless of their or his hospital affiliation. He has always been reachable when I have some serious condition.

I have been going to this office for many years. Ever since St. Barnabas took it over and their staff left, the office has taken a free fall. You call for an appointment and are told the doctors can't be seen for a week. But you can see the Nurse practitioner right away...no I want to see my DOCTOR. Physicals...good luck...3 month wait. And the staff are rude, uninviting, cold...I can go on and on. The staff is just horrid and seem like the hate their jobs. I will be finding a new doctor!

I have had repeated issues with this practice being totally unresponsive for prescription refills, emergency needs, and test results. The latest issue was getting crucial test results before boarding a plane to leave the country. The results were sent to the Dr but up until the last minute, he still hadn't had time to look at them and get back to me. This is unacceptable. I have had it with this practice and feel that the service and respect for patients is sub-par.
