Condescending
Condescending to my mom and I from the second we walked into his office. Lectured us on wearing masks despite not saying anything to us about them in the waiting room or when he greeted us. Unnecessary and rude.

Not recommended, highly deceptive.
Maybe "Dr." Berger is helpful if you have simple issues, but if you have any kind of real condition you will just be wasting your time and money. He does not explain the process, he gives you a very general sales pitch stating that he can help you, and it's a structural change within yourself that takes time. He says it with a smirk on his face because he knows he's full of it. If you press him for more details he gets angry and talks down to you. You are supposed to just trust him and everything will be resolved. How long will the process take? A long time he says, which basically means forever. We all know the medical field likes to keep their books full with repeat customers. He comes off as sincere but don't be fooled, if he truly wanted to help people he should be honest and not take patients for conditions he has no experience dealing with. He is older and hard of hearing, so you have to speak slowly with him. He is also hard of understanding and out of touch.

I have been seeing Dr Berger weekly for many years. He is a wonderful person and extremely experienced and has helped me drastically change my life. Psychoanalytic therapy takes a long time no matter who you go to so you can't expect instant changes...it's a process. It is true that he is a little older and hard of hearing but his experience is well worth the trade-off. It's also rare to find a psychiatrist who does therapy. This is very helpful in correct medication management.

Hard of hearing and not helpful at all. Spent the first 15 minutes of my session repeating my address and phone number that I had already given to him over the phone.
