Poorly Handled Follow Up Care
My experience with Dr Sakin in appointments has been fair, but very brief and to the point. My experience with follow-up care and routine lab orders with Valley Medical Center clinic where he sees me has been another story. I am consistently having to remind and ask for my lab orders which are a routine part of my follow-up appointments. I cannot trust them to be on top of it themselves or I end up at Labcorp with the techs saying they never got the orders and stuck on hold with the clinic for 20-30 minutes only to be talked in circles over a simple lab order. I book my follow-ups a week to several weeks in advance and have never had a specialist just not send in the required lab orders or not communicate that I need to ask for them every time like I have with this VMC clinic.

Kind and caring
Dr. Sakin is kind and caring and knows his stuff! He has taken excellent care of my 89 year old mother for the last 3 years. He listens carefully to her concerns. He changed her arthritis medication over a year ago which lessened her pain considerably. His office staff is very friendly and they have responded very quickly when I've asked questions either through My Chart or on the phone.

I highly recommend him because he is a smart and excellent doctor, his diagnosis is 100% correct, he treats kindly with the patient, answers all my questions. It is enough that he is the only doctor who diagnosed my case after I got tired for many years moved from one clinic to another and saw more than 10 doctors but without any benefit, Doctor Sakin is the only one who helped me, I kept following up with him since 5 years till now, SO REALY I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.

Dr. Sakin is pleasant and thorough. He responds immediately to emails and answered all of my questions. I had questionable lab results and he investigated further, leaving no rock unturned. I highly recommend Dr. Sakin.

Dr. Sakin is good at ordering thorough testing, and you can get the results in "My Chart," which is good because he's not good at sharing. His bedside manner is quiet and reserved and you never quite know what he's thinking. He also seems very hesitant to treat anyone who also has fibromyalgia. Because symptoms of fibro often mask what he is to treat you for (arthritis, MCTD, etc.), I think he prefers not to treat me. He suggested I seek other opinions, despite blood tests.

Dr. Sakin went the extra mile and diagnosed me with an inflammatory arthritis when all other doctors I had seen over the years relied on the old test for rheumatoid arthritis. he made me feel like I was finally being heard. He is excellent at responding to emails and test results. I have recommended him to friends. He is an excellent doctor and I never feel rushed at my appointments with him.

Went to for consultation, had labs drawn Dr. did not call to let me know i was having a dangerous reactions my existing medication that had caused liver damage, If i would of not pursued my not feeling well with another Dr., the outcome would not have been very good. I had to followup and read my own labs to know something was not right, i would not recommend this Dr.
