Dr. Candice Mak, MD

Went to her for years. She will say “yea mhm mhm okay yea” while you’re speaking on a concern but she’s not actually listening she just tells you its totally normal and to take neproxin even when it’s a concern that is frequent and absolutely not totally normal. Had friends who had her too and also said they don’t like her. Seems like she j sees us as a number rather than people.

I met doctor Mak during my OBGYN routine visit twice and it so happened she was the one booked for my induction. She was so welcoming as she explained things to be and encourage me that it will be easy. Her calm spirit even when she noticed the oblica cord was tied round the child neck twice she was still calm and not panic till I had the baby. Also postpartum visit with her was another level as she sat down in a friendly manner for us to talk incase I had any challenges explaining every step of the way. Her professional behavior is top notch and I will always recommend her and her team for their professionalism

Dr. Mak takes the time to explain and have a discussion with me during my visit. She is knowledgeable and super nice.

I work in healthcare and have had a lot of experiences with drs , however by far Dr. Mak makes my top 5! Although I have seen her only twice, both times she has made an impact with her expertise, professionalism, transparency and kindness! I would recommend her with the highest recommendation!

I have only seen Dr Mak a few times since becoming her patient a couple years ago. Every time that I visit her office, she is extremely efficient and I never have to wait long which is very rare to find these days in a medical practice. For her specifically though, she is extremely understanding respectful. She takes her time to explain things in a way that anyone can understand and she responds to all questions and concerns. She also offers her expertise on options for better health. But she's also willing to listen to your point of view and she respects your decision. She's extremely personable and patient. I highly recommend her.

Today was my first ever gyn appointment and I was so nervous. Immediately when I walked in, the environment and the staff were warm and kind. Dr. Mak was incredibly sweet and saw me with almost no wait. She explained everything thoroughly, examined me with absolutely no pain or discomfort (even though I’ve heard countless horror stories about gyn appointments), and she made sure my prescriptions were up to date. The nurses and support staff were also exceptionally caring. I’ve never given a review before, but today I had to. As someone with medical experience, I understand that some practices are rushed and dismissive. My experience today was the opposite!

She is very professional and knowledgeable. She knew about my medical history. I felt very comfortable.

Awful. Failure to diagnose my endometriosis, she sent me away saying my pain wasn't a gyn issue. 6 months later I was diagnosed with endo.
