I have had many surgeons over the years. Dr. Chipman was the very first to walk in, introduce herself and shake my hand. From that moment and through the entire process I felt like a person and not a random patient. Dr Chipman explained everything very thoroughly - especially the potential obstacles. I felt fully prepared and comfortable when my surgery date arrived. The amazing staff kept my family informed during my surgery and Dr Chipman personally answered my family's questions. Even the hospital staff was extremely complimentary of Dr Chipman and her staff. I am so thankful that I found Dr Chipman and would highly recommend her to others beginning their bariatric journey.

In 2022, I met with Dr. Chipman to discuss weight loss surgery, hoping it would help with my other health issues and lead to a healthier life. I underwent numerous tests and screenings to prepare for the procedure. During my final visit with her, we reviewed the recent test results. Dr. Chipman noticed a potential problem that had previously been cleared by another doctor.She immediately referred me to a specialist, who discovered a serious issue that required urgent surgery. The specialist, Dr. A. Willis from Jefferson Hospital, performed the surgery the following week and did an excellent job. Thanks to Dr. Chipman's thoroughness and care, I can now proceed with the weight loss surgery. Her dedication and genuine concern saved my life. Many blessings to you, Dr. Chipman.

I was very lucky to come across Dr Chipman after my surgeon moved out of State, this office should be very lucky to have such an amazing surgeon on hand, she listens and allows you to continue all your follow-up care with her if you decide to which was a different experience from the last time I was a patient. I was a High Risk and she was honest with me that it would not be an easy surgery and could come across many complications did not leave anything out. Dr Chipman was honest with my age and third time resetting my metabolism would be difficult - she was so happy I over succeeded her expectations and over 50 and lost 76% of my body fat at my yearly follow up - want a compassionate, expertise in her profession there is nobody else you should be looking for and worth the wait if not the first physician available

I 1st saw Dr. Chipman in the fall of 2021. I had a gastric sleeve back in May 2015, at a facility that has since closed, I had been experiencing awful reflux & Gerd. Dr. Chipman sent me for many tests, changed my reflux medicine; when that didn't fix my issue she gave me an option to have revision surgery to a bypass. My bypass was done August 2022, my reflux is completely gone. Dr. Chipman treats her patients like family. I am so grateful for her gift to help people. She is an advocate to her patients. She is a hands on caring doctor.

Dr.Chipman did an amazing job from the first day we sat down Sep 2021 to go over everything to the day of the surgery Jan 6th 2022. Dr.Chipman has an amazing Team that helped me get through this procedure. I was giving everything I was going to need and follow if I wanted this to be a success. I took it serious and followed everything to the best of my ability. From the liquid diet before the surgery (By the way it is not easy but because I stuck with it Dr.Chipman Thanked me because it made the surgery go flawless). I love that Dr.Chipman answered ANY question I had concerning this procedure. My scars are barely visible, I had no pain after the surgery, just your normal discomfort of getting up and getting around. But I followed the instructions of WALKING around the house to help with the pain of gas due to the surgery and staying hydrated. Thank you Dr.Chipman and your Team for giving me a chance for a second chance of having a healthy lifestyle that I am so looking forward to.

Never have I ever had a doctor to care for me as much as Dr. Chipman has. She treated me like family instead of just a patient. She took her time with me answered any and every question I had in a way that I would understand instead of using big medical terminology. I first visited Dr. Chipman in April of 2019 and felt an immediate connection. Based on Dr. Chipman’s recommendation for Duodenal Switch surgery, my life has been changed in such a positive way forever. Dr Chippman is a very compassionate & highly educated in bariatric procedures. I first meet her on 12/26/18 at the hospital for an emergency removal of my band which had “slipped “ a few days prior. After a year I made an appointment in February of 2020 just weeks before covid pandemic hit to consult with her my next procedure needs. She highly recommended the bariatric sleeve. Only 7/30/20 I had my surgery. Happiness again. She has been with me every step of the way. I am so grateful for her knowledge & due diligence in making the best possible decision for the rest of my life. What I love best is how she makes me feel when she enters the examine room. Her encouragement & support has made me a healthier woman in her 60’s! I see her next week for another follow up visit & can’t wait!!

Dr Chipman is very professional, nurturing and caring. She came to visit me in the hospital post surgery every day to make sure all was ok. I presented her with a difficult task of doing a revisional surgery on me to revise a past surgery and she came through with flying colors. I met Dr Chipman at my third visit to NYBG and she was very active in my pre and post surgical gastric sleeve. She is very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. When I went into surgery I was terrified and Dr Chipman took my hand, calming me while I was put to sleep. Dr. Chipman will be performing my hernia repair and plastic surgery along with Dr Small later this year. She will also perform gastric sleeve surgery on my wife later this year.
