Worst doctor visit I’ve had
Telehealth
She was incredibly unhelpful, she refused to answer my questions and was very rude and condescending. I couldn’t believe it. She made inaccurate and offensive assumptions and before I could even finish asking my questions, she hung up the call. I’ve never experienced anything like that from a doctor before.

Does not listen
Telehealth
Told her had ongoing sinus infection, would not listen. Instead she said I had pneumonia, based off the fact I had a cough. If you want help don’t come to her. Additionally she talked over me and then rudely hung up the call.

Poorly educated to treat diverse patients
Telehealth
What an awful, impersonal doc! I am Hispanic and in my virtual appt with her, she kept commenting about my skin pigmentation (I'm very prone to hyperpigmentation and brown spots), acting like my skin coloration was some weird medical mystery. FYI, I just had impetigo, just like I was telling her! Popped a pimple and got an infection, that's all! She did not treat me because of my skin coloration. Does she not know Latin people have a lot of melanin and are prone to hyperpigmentation?! Total waste of time and money to see this weird, uptight doc.

DO NOT RECOMMEND
Telehealth
I had an e-visit with this doctor today, and I would give fewer stars if I could. I'm super nauseous while being pregnant and have an MTHFR mutation, which requires me to take a specific supplement. For those who don't know, the MTHFR mutation means your body can't process folic acid, so you need folate instead. This doctor tried to tell me I needed folic acid, even after I explained my condition and that folic acid is synthetic. They insisted that I needed folic acid for the baby, but it's actually folate that's necessary. I basically had to educate her myself. She wouldn't prescribe any nausea medication and told me to see an OB-GYN. I also advised her not to recommend folic acid to other patients with the MTHFR mutation. I definitely would NOT recommend her.

Condescending
Telehealth
This woman made multiple suggestions and guesses as to my line of work and spoke to me as though I were uneducated. She cut me off repeatedly, and spoke to me like a child. This woman is totally offensive and unprofessional.

Would give less stars if possible
Telehealth
What’s the point of a virtual visit if they don’t help and just tell you to go to a regular doctor for something a virtual doctor should be able to help with. Would give zero stars. Horrible doctor, horrible experience. Terrible customer care.

Makes assumptions instead of listening
Cameron was not a good doctor. She makes assumptions instead of listening to her patients. I went to see her for chronic migraines that have been going on for over a decade, and she insisted that I had tension headaches solely based on my job as an engineer. It seems like she makes her diagnosis immediately and then only asks questions to support her decision, without listening to the patient who is actually experiencing the symptoms. She just told me to fix my posture instead of treating me for the migraines, even though I'm experiencing 8/10 blinding pain and feel like someone is slamming my head with a hammer.

I had the unfortunate experience of encountering Cameron McCoin during an E-Visit. I have a history of chronic sinusitis and suffer sinus infections 1-2 times a year. I had a Telehealth visit to address this issue and simply needed antibiotics. She wouldn't listen to anything I had to say, made her own assumptions, and wanted me to use OTC options instead, which do not work. I also explained that I have hypertension and therefore didn't want to use OTC options because I'm concerned about raising my BP. She then indicated "we're gonna have to agree to disagree", as if I don't know my own body and my symptoms were a matter of opinion. This is the kind of doctor who contributes greatly to healthcare disparities by not listening to their patients, not taking their concerns seriously, and exhibiting biases which ultimately causes great harm to patients, particularly delays in needed care. I'm a professor who publishes on health disparities. This doctor needs cultural competency training.

My visit was similar to another review I read about this doctor. I wasn't impressed. Bedside manner was condescending with an insincere smile while she explained things. And, she really didn't listen to what I had to say. She cut me off a few times instead of letting me provide the background I felt was important. Clearly, she has a line of questions she likes to ask in a certain order; I guess my providing context was throwing her off? The best doctors are flexible with their approach, lean in and listen...oh and learn from patients too! I was trying to explain my past history and why I was concerned, but she kept to her routine statement of, "if it has not been more than five days, then you don't need an antibiotic." I felt she made a lot of assumptions without listening, and I found myself annoyed when I got off the call.

I called after having several days of a sinus infection with fever. Per his own notes “patient didn’t cough during exam” . We had a 4 minute telehealth visit and because I didn’t cough (which really why does that matter) he told me I didn’t need an antibiotic. The worst telehealth doctor I’ve ever dealt with.
