Beware Code Changing
Was scheduled for preventative colonoscopy by my primary dr due to age I ended up getting cdiff and seeing Kernodle gastrology the colonoscopy was postponed, still had some stomach symptons but was told that they were going ahead with my rescheduled colonoscopy there was no mention of changing colonoscopy to diagnostic from any staff . Matter of fact chart notes from 3 days prior state preventative .I get surprise bill of over 1,700.Called spoke with Dr.Locklear who basically said yeah you were not told and said nothing he could do about the bill .I should have been told so that I could make the choice to go ahead or to waitl and get done as preventative which I was told I was getting but I wasn't given that choice. How many patients have they done this to besides me? Taking not only your choice but a chunk of out of pocket.
