Dismissive
I saw Dr.Mooney in January for a mass that had come up in my left knee. She took an xray and because nothing showed on the xray she basically dismissed it as being nothing. At the end of the visit she left her computer logged in to patients charts and walked out the door without uttering a goodbye. I waited 10 minutes and then I left. messaged her the next day and ask for an MRI or a CT scan because I work in healthcare and I knew something was wrong. I could feel whatever it was in my knee and it was so painful. I’m glad I spoke up for myself because the imaging showed a very large cyst in my knee and I ended up seeing another provider who sent me to a surgeon and I had surgery to remove a golf ball sized cyst from my knee yesterday. A part of the cyst was also sent to pathology to make sure it wasn’t cancerous. Vanderbilt has amazing doctors that care about their patients. This is not one of them.

She didn't explain much on my diagnosis or try to get any other imaging done to see if there was further damage than what showed on just an x ray. She did better than what the emergency room did for me at the time of my accident because she gave me a diagnosis on at least what was actually wrong with my shoulder so thank you.
