Dr. Toussaint is the best - had 6 spinal infusions and was back on my feet and moving! He took the time to explain the problem and explain my options for treatment. He also did my husbands surgery in 2015 and got him out of a wheelchair. He is a wonderful doctor, surgeon and runs a great practice.

Dr. Toussaint is amazing! After a few years of getting the run around from Department of Veterans Affairs, they finally put me in Dr. Toussaint’s care. Everyone I encountered in his practice was fantastic. I had L4-L5 laminectomy in July 2020 and quickly gained back the quality of life I’d been slowly losing over the last 5-6 years. Thank you for giving me my life back, I finally feel 39 and amazing again!

Last summer I had an acute herniated disk, L-2 that quickly developed. I got in to see Dr. Toussaint on a Thursday afternoon. He immediately had me admitted to Lexington Medical Center for pain treatment and an MRI that night. Talked to him early the next morning and i was in surgery by 9:00 a.m. Was out of surgery and left the hospital late afternoon on Friday. In all aspects Dr. Toussaint and his team were superb. Initial care, prognosis, and the follow up in the last several months has been outstanding. He did not perform a cookie-cutter surgery but made a slightly different approach that helped accommodate my active lifestyle. I highly recommend him, and have referred others to him and will continue to do so.

I would definitely recommend Dr Toussaint! He is a wonderful and caring physician. I went to him with lower back pain with sciatica. Dr Toussaint performed a lumbar spinal fusion and my pain is gone. He was a Godsend! He is very caring and compassionate surgeon, which is rare these days! So grateful I have him as my doctor.

As an Internal medicine physician I am picky about docotrs I see personnely. I saw Dr Toussaint for a fractured spine and I was very impressed. Unlike most surgeons he told me he would possibly do more harm to me and my spine and I should wait until the pain is unbearable before considering surgery. This made me respect him even more.

Dr. Toussaint has actually seen three of our immediate family members and performed surgery for one member. He has excellent surgical skills. Dr. Toussaint's abilities go far beyond that as he has great communication skills helping patients to understand and make health choices. He has sincere empathy for each situation. It is unusual to find a surgeon that is both so proficient in both areas of care.

Great office staff, smiling, friendly, and helpful. Dr. Toussaint is fabulous. He is caring and talented. My husband was in severe pain and a the point of not being able to walk. After surgery the pain he had is gone, his ability to walk returned. Don’t misunderstand, he still has pain but nothing like he had before, life is bearable. I recommend Dr Toussaint to everyone without hesitation!

In my opinion Dr. Toussaint is a direct gift from God. He has given me my life back with a surgical procedure called a laminectomy with spinal fusion. It was miraculous. Before surgery the pain was near unbearable, drugs, PT, injections didn't touch it. NOW!! Six weeks post surgery I'm almost totally pain free. Dr Toussaint is without doubt and extremely talented and gifted neurosurgeon that I would highly recommend. You can put your trust in this Dr.

My first neurosurgeon's PA said I needed back surgery to correct my "foot drop" (even after doing a nerve conduction test on my legs and finding a problem). I got a second opinion from Dr. Toussaint and he figured out that the compromised nerve in my calf was the likely cause .... not my back. After Dr. Toussaint did calf surgery, I finally have feeling again in my leg and foot. I also have much more movement than before and I will begin PT next week. THANK YOU, DR. TOUSSAINT !!!

I am an 82 year old male who was ready to buy a wheelchair because I could barely stand or walk for a very short time without severe leg and lower back pain. Last year Dr. Toussaint took care of my lumbar spinal stenosis which gave me some relief. Five weeks ago Dr. Toussaint followed up with a very extensive back surgery. Glad I did not buy the wheelchair because, starting next month, my wife and I are now able to embark on a 6 week beach vacation in the Caribbean without bringing a wheelchair. Dr. Toussaint, you are the greatest!

After a severe cervical spine injury, and prior spinal surgery, I was referred to Dr. Toussaint in August 2019. Three weeks later I am recovering from my revision and spinal surgery and I am ecstatic! Even while still in the hospital, the day after surgery, I was pain free for the the first time in 7 years (except for surgical pain, which was managed well) and all the swelling and numbness in my extremities was gone. Dr Toussaint is very compassionate, and never ever seems hurried with the patient despite his very large patient load. His surgery scheduler, Dawn, called as promised with all relevant surgery date data before the big day, and I left with all follow-up appointments in hand before even going into surgery! Do not go anywhere else if you need spine surgery!

I just cannot thank Dr. Toussaint and his staff for the excellent care my husband received before his surgery and afterwards. The surgery was successful. Dr. Toussaint is compassionate and so knowledgable and very concise. He does not sugar coat the surgery or what to expect from it. I have recommended him and would go to him myself if needed. My husband and I are very satisfied with the surgery results. Thank you Dr. Toussaint

I had a wonderful visit. Dr. Toussaint as well as his staff are all very kind and concerned about their patients. I have terrible stenosis of the spine so Dr. Toussaint has operated on my spine twice, both were successful. I highly recommend him to anyone who has back pain. Don't wait call him right away. You do not have to suffer, because he is up to date on all spinal procedures.

In late November, 2018, I had extensive cervical repair performed by Dr. Toussaint of Lexington Brain and Spine. This was the most significant health issue I’ve ever had and I am so grateful for Dr. Toussaint’s skill, thoroughness and care in repairing my neck. His team, including Rebekah, Kim and Crystal, provided excellent care and support. I felt that Dr. Toussaint really cared about me as his patient. I highly recommend Dr. Toussaint and his staff. I was not impressed with this office. Had an appointment with Dr Toussaint and ended up see the nurse practitioner. I waited 3 to 4 weeks for the appointment because I was told the Dr was “reviewing” my MRI. When I get there all that was done was to refer me somewhere else. My question is why the appointment was made after “reviewing” my MRI just for them to refer me to another Dr. I had to take time off of work drive 25 miles one way just to be told they could not do anything.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with this surgeon and his organization, as well as the nurses and technicians at Lexington Medical Center. I had spinal fusion surgery on Oct 3, 2017 at the Lexington Medical Center. Dr. Toussaint was the surgeon who performed the operation. I am delighted to report that I experienced surprisingly little discomfort following my surgery and fully recovered in a much shorter time than all who were involved expected or than I, myself, expected.
