Blatantly ignored the opinion of other specialists over the course of a 3 month post-op hospital admission. Most importantly, ignored radiologists who suggested a major complication was occurring. This complication required immediate surgical intervention. Instead, he ignored the specialist’s CT findings, and let the patient decline over a two week period. By the time actions were taken, the patient had sustained mass amounts of internal damage that resulted in multiple intubations and 2 different tracheostomies. The carelessness of this surgeon ultimately caused the patient to fight for their life for three agonizing months. The otherwise very healthy patient, whom should have “gotten through the recovery no problem”, eventually lost their post-op recovery battle due to pure negligence of this surgeon. Concerns were expressed countless times by family members advocating for the patient. These concerns were met with pure gas lighting. I wouldn’t even take my dog to him.
