Dr. Bruce Rougraff, MD

My daughter had a unicameral bone cyst. Before we knew about the cyst, she slipped in wet grass and broke her humerus in about 4 places. From the X-rays done for the break, that’s how we found out about the cyst. The first Dr we visited said we would just keep an eye on it and didn’t want to do anything further. This didn’t sit well with me because her bone was so brittle and she broke her arm so easily. We went to Dr Rougraff for a 2nd opinion and I’m so glad we did! We’re so grateful for Dr Rougraff and his staff!

I have had two surgeries with Dr. Rougraff. He is an experienced and skilled surgeon. He is helpful with information, personable, and easy to talk to.

He was very informative and seemed very concerned about my issues. I had a very positive experience with him. Based on my issues, he was confident about me going to another doctor. He didn't jump into surgery like some other doctors do and sent me to the appropriate provider. I had a great experience with him.

Every staff member, from check in, to nurse, to x-ray techs, to the doctor, was friendly, courteous, and attentive. I was seen in a timely manner, and I felt listened to and not rushed. Dr Rougraff was thorough and patient, and listened to my ideas with consideration. He was not at all bothered when I had questions or when I added my two cents about my condition or suggested possible reasons or treatments with regard to my hip pain. He looked at my x-rays and was very willing to let me look at them while he pointed things out. Dr Rougraff never made me feel like I was overstating my pain level, and I could see him thinking carefully about what to do next and how to best troubleshoot in order to get to the bottom of the reason for my hip pain. He considered the situation fully and offered up a plan to help with my pain relief by utilizing a process of elimination method in order to pinpoint the cause of my pain. I am very comfortable with the plan of action he recommended.

Does not communicate well. Doesn't order appropriate tests. More concerned with adding another surgery to his goal

Dr Rougraff knew what he was doing since the first day I walked into his office. He knew that I needed to have surgery to remove what I needed to be removed. He went the extra mile to make sure that I was ok to have surgery. Pre op felt to me like they wanted my whole life information. I know see it was to make sure I was going to be ok. Dr Rougraff answered any questions me or my family had. He was very upfront about everything. I do admire in a doctor that I'm about to let cut me open.
