I've only just discovered this rating system or I would have rated him in 2014 when he diagnosed my rare right ventricular dysplasia; explained the condition carefully and compassionately to me; and personally performed the implant of the operation. Dr. Lerman went beyond what any doctor I have ever know did - he was literally in the middle of my operation when he learned a close family member had died. Though he could have left the rest of the procedure to his top quality colleagues, he completed it himself, then waited until I was conscious to explain to my family and me how everything went. I will never forget his kindness, intelligence and professionalism.
