Dr. Bruce Flax, MD

very understanding, kind and caring.

I have no doubt that Dr. Flax is a good radiation oncologist and he will deliver care to you and help cure you. However, he lacks greatly in compassion and bedside manner. His visits are short, quick and focused on treatment only. Radiation is brutal. It can and does cause horrible side effects - some lasting the rest of your life. He is not interested nor does he accept your collateral damage. Anyone going through cancer deserves more compassion and it appears like he's become hardened to it.

He was a tadd cold at first, but as we discussed my upcoming radiation I felt a little more comfortable.

Dr. Flax is a great doctor who reviews all your information and tells you the plan forward making it very clear of what can be expected. He is awesome and always available to discuss any concerns.

I've been living with a diagnosis for 13 months. I didn't understand what extensive testing and results meant.My wife and I learned more about my issues in two separate meetings. One was with Dr. Flax, the other by Dr. Barlow.The 13 months of delay finally started moving the day after my first meeting in December.Thank you to both sides of the wonderful people in the facility.
