Excellent Surgeon
Back in 2005 Dr Bartie performed a spinal fusion at L5-S1, also inserting a mesh holder filled with my self-donated bone marrow to re-create health and function. Two screws were placed to correct a spinal curving that also occurred. I was severely injured from a head-on drunk driver accident years earlier. My life had become full of pain with an inability to enjoy daily living. Even dressing myself became a battle and walks were only on flat surfaces. Dr Bartie was compassionate to my situation including an auto-immune disease that needed additional considerations and planning. His skill, and prayer, allowed me back to the life I had lived including canoeing, hiking and BWCA camping. Dr Bartie was forthright in the possible outcomes and that not all patients get a positive result. Mine was better than hoped for. Canoeing 8 weeks later!

Great experience. Except with his clinical assistant Jane who can't seem to find compassion in the world for people undergoing spinal surgery.

My 20 year old daughter has been a patient of Dr. Bartie since the age of 13. She had a severe case of scoliosis so he has been treating her for this. She finally had to have surgery in May 2016. Dr. Bartie is absolutely amazing, everything from his bed side manner, expertise, knowledge, and compassion for each of his patients. The surgery was a success and my daughter is pain free. I would highly recommend Dr. Bartie.

Incredible doctor, wonderful man! Extremely knowledgeable, highly skilled, good listener, good communicator - direct, but compassionate and caring and always takes the time to patiently address all concerns and questions. He's done 2 spinal fusions (daughter and husband) and treated 4 other back issues within the family - each experience has been very positive and resulted in highly improved quality of life!

Dr. Bartie successfully performed an anterior/posterior LS stabilization surgery on me in October of 2006 and a Cervical posterior micro discectomy at C6-C7 on the 4th of February. AGAIN he and his team knocked it out of the park. I continue to recommend Dr. Bartie and his staff.. I feel very blessed to have been taken such good care of by an amazingly talented surgeon. I'm 46 years old and want to continue to enjoy an active lifestyle and Dr. Bartie has given me that opportunity. Thank you!!!
