Dr. Brook Brouha, MD

Does not listen, extremely rushed, impatient, arrogant and dismissive. He was authorized for a 'long visit' to remove several pre-cancerous lesions. After waiting 45 minutes to see him, he graced me with 10 minutes of his precious time. He clearly didn't know what the appt was for and after a very cursory exam he had his hand on the door, rushing to leave. I told him I still wanted him to burn off several lesions which he had examined at a prior appt. He literally said 'I don't have time for this, you've seen my waiting room.'I told him that was what exactly the appt was made for. He had his asst check his notes, and quickly zapped one lesion on the side of my face, patted my head and left. There were several other lesions we had discussed at a prior appt that I was told I'd have to make another appt for.Worst medical experience of my life!!

I believe excellence should be recognized. I lost half of my hair in 2 months. Dr. Brouha did a biopsy to rule out any pathology. He also told me to have my doctor run my ferritin levels. It turns out I had critically low levels of iron. For months I was having heart arrhythmias, waking up gasping for air, breaking out into cold sweats and having shaking episodes. None of my other doctors thought to check my ferritin levels, they only checked my hemoglobin, which was normal. My symptoms were passed off to stress, or thyroid imbalance. Low iron can lead to heart failure, and I believe I was having symptoms of this. I am now getting iron infusions, I feel great & my hair has stopped falling out. He took time to teach me while I was in the exam room, breaking out his marker and whiteboard. You can feel how much he cares for his patients and I am just so thankful that he is my doctor. He went above and beyond for me, and I believe he quite literally has saved my life.

Everyone is great! Office is clean. Very attentive, coffee and water supplied. Dr Brouha is especially good at devising a plan specific to your needs, and explaining it. Great doctor with excellent bedside manner.

I am so happy I came to see Dr. Brouha. He was thorough in his exam and made me feel relaxed and confident with his assessment. The medication he prescribed started working on the first day I used it! I also liked Naz, the nurse practitioner who assisted him. She was so caring and was very gentle with the procedure she did. The front office staff was friendly and efficient.

An outstanding doctor. We are fortunate that he is in our community.

I 110% recommend Dr. Brouha. I have been to 3 other dermatologists over the past few years for routine checkups and he was by far the most thorough. He took time to exam me and to answer all of my questions. In addition to that, his office uses a newer method/technology that is non-invasive to check areas of concern for melanoma. I googled it to look into and it has been around for at least 8 years, but none of the other dermatologists ever talked about it or used it. My wife has also been going to him and is equally satisfied. He has two new patients that will be with him as long as he's practicing and I'll be recommending him to everyone.

Great! When he returns to La Jolla I will still be seeing him. Tis only three hours one way. He is more than worth the time.

I previously saw Dr. Tompkins twice for acne and she didn't take much time to explain or actually talk to me. After I got my referral renewed, I asked to see another doctor and I got Dr. Brouha. He was AMAZING! He worked with me to create a treatment plan, went over the side effects in detail, and was extremely understanding. 10/10!!

Dr. Brouha is one of the best all-around medical doctors I've experienced in my lifetime. He has a great bedside manner, is easy to talk to, is attentive, is a great listener and is extremely thorough as a physician. I am impressed with his service each and every visit.

Dr. Brouha is a fantastic doctor and a caring, compassionate man. I have multiple medical conditions that are difficult to treat. Dr. Brouha is literally the only one who has been able to help me with my dermatology issues. I recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor with an educated, patient oriented approach.

Dr. Brouha and staff are outstanding. All very accommodating and courteous. Dr. Brouha took the time to explain all procedures and reasons for doing so. He answered all my questions without hesitation and advised me what to expect treatment wise going forward. Just a great experience. This is the way medicine should be practiced.

Dr Brouha ordered a very expensive medication called Alcortin A and it was sent to me for free. It was effective in eliminating the rash which another dermatologist had been unable to resolve.

I appreciate the way Dr. Brouha connected with me and explained what is going on, possible reasons for the cause, and solutions for management of eczema. I especially appreciate Dr. Brouha sharing that he has it too which made me feel I am not alone. The ladies at the front desk and check out as well as the nurse were lovely. I will tell all my friends to go to Dr. Brouha for sure! :)

Even to an inveterate skeptic like myself Dr Brouha inspires confidence in his exceptional competence and his diagnoses. He has a very kind and friendly manner and takes the time to answer questions. I was really impressed when the doctor himself phoned me on a Sunday evening with the results of a biopsy.
