Dr. Brock Merritt, DO

Maximum duration of maintenance scripts is 3 months. Must see doctor before obtaining diabetes, blood pressure, triglyceride Rx. Last fill for test strips was Sept. 2021 when pharmacy dispensed 300 test strips rather than 50. Now, doctor won't fill, presumably because it has been so long that it appeared I didn't use them! Switched PCPs, got test strips.

I have been going to this doctor for a few years now and find him to be friendly and helpful. However, the office staff is not so good. They don’t return phone calls and don’t send appointment reminders like they say they do. I honestly have never been to an office that does not send reminders for appointments or to schedule your yearly, so this is really odd to me. I may locate a new office.

Office does not respond to requests for refills of maintenance medication. I've been run out of critical medication many times. Wait times for appointments are extensive. Our last visit in June of 2017 resulted in $2200 in unexpected out-of-pocket costs for unwanted allergy assessment and treatment.

Been going to Dr. Merritt since I moved here 13 years ago and will continue to do so. Very kind, knowledgeable and helpful.

Had the last appointment of the day. Doc left the room saying he would be back. Had a couple more questions for him, but he never returned. Had someone come in with paperwork for blood draw. Asked for Doc to come back and she said he left for the day. Then the office billed insurance wrong and are trying to collect the difference from the copay from me after I called insurance and had them tell them what to do.

I really like Dr. Merritt, he helped me during all my visits and was professional. He provided me with good answers about my health and would recommend other families to this Doctor.His staff was sometimes lazy returning phone calls ?

I love the doctor been seeing him for 10 years. He really tries to help. His office staff? Worthless and rude. They never return phone calls. My last visit I was sitting in the room waiting to get paperwork for 30 mins while listening to the office staff gossip and talk about the night before. Love doctor but staff is incompetent. They do not return calls within the 48 hour rule and sometimes never. They say it doesn’t do any good to call more than once as they take requests in order received which is ridiculous if they don't return calls especially when its of importance like the medication refill was not correct or you have an urgent problem. I'm shopping for a new doctor but would gladly go to Merritt if he got better staff.
