He did not like me and the feeling was mutual
Was referred by PCP to Dr. Borderlon for a standard inguinal hernia. It was a pain to even get into this office. The scheduler never answers or returns calls that I never had my post op. The doctor has a very old med school attitude, is patronizing, and has a shoddy bedside mannerism. I had complications and now am paying for them down the road. Would NEVER have the doctor perform another procedure again.

Horrible surgeon. Left my mother NPO for nine days after a failed colostomy takedown. It was his second failed attempt at reversing the colostomy. He also refused to order her anti-psychotic medication for a serious mental illness the first several days of her hospitalization. We had to involve Risk Management and her psychiatrist before he finally allowed us to bring the med from home. Just a horrible person and a worse doctor.

I was very nervous about the surgery that I needed ,a lot of prior surgery's and my age were a factor. I was referred to Dr. Borderlon and was very nervous, Dr. Borderlon sensed this and was great in calming my nerves. He explained to my son and myself the entire procedure , as well as the option that could possibly take place during the surgery. He took extra time doing the procedure just so he wouldn't have to make my recovery harder than it needed to be. I highly recommend Dr. Borderlon , they don't make Dr.'s like that anymore.

I walked in at 10:30 with a son in pain -- umbilical hernia. Dr. Bordelon agreed with our primary care who had just an hour ago referred us; time for surgery. Dr. Bordelon was very clear, helpful and maintained a cheerful attitude -- and I ask a lot of questions. He added my son to his schedule for that day and my son was out of pain by 6 PM. The staff worked on the insurance side and it was all approved. No problems with the follow up. And we have a run of the mill Kaiser HMO. It was great for a generally lousy day.

During my first visit to Dr. Bordelon he highly recommended that I get my gallbladder out after looking at an ultrasound I had had done which showed several gallstones. At my pre-surgery visit, the day before surgery, Dr. Bordelon asked if I'd had a scope done. (He hadn't ordered one.) He said the surgery might be effective. I was very confused, should I have the surgery done or not?
