Dr. Bright Kim, MD

I went for an EGD last summer and there was an error made during my procedure due to my IV being infiltrated and medication was administered in the IV, causing it to be absorbed into my arm. The IV was inadvertently left in my arm when I was discharged and the medication was still being absorbed into my skin. I felt abnormally groggy because of this and when I discovered at home that the IV was still in my arm, I had to go back to the hospital through the ER. But Dr. Kim did meet me in the ER and explain what happening to make me still feel groggy after the procedure was long done with. He was compassionate about it and he later apologized for everything that I had been through. I have to give him a good rating just for taking responsibility for the mistake, which likely happened because I am very different to get a good IV in. I think he did his best to make sure that I was okay. I don’t always feel like doctors care, but I do feel that Dr. Kim cares more than a lot of others do.
