Dr. Brian Wilson, MD

Dr. Wilson had a printed copy of my wide range of food allergies, and how I got horrible mouth sores when I ate them. He dissuaded me that they were not real. He did not do a skin test-he scratched my back and said my skin was 'too reactive'. He did a panel of blood tests which showed high levels of reactions to POLLENS but only one to foods. He relayed to me that I had no food allergies except to sesame seeds! I said you mean I'm not allergic to PEANUTS,even? He relayed that the test said NO. I said this is not accurate based on ANY of my experiences. Luckily I have a friend at FSU who said it is common knowledge that people have Pollen-Food Allergy Syndrome AND Allergic Contact Stomatitis. This would explain EVERYTHING I carefully shared with him.THIS diagnosis could have ended up with ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK! I got terrible mouth sores from eating items related to the positive pollens' test.This will be taken up with the Board if there is not responsibility for this negligence.

My son has been a patient of Dr. Wilson's for about 5 years, and up until this point, I would have given him 5 stars. He & his staff are very competent & thorough. I saw a mention of someone not particularly liking his bedside manner. I don't need a best friend. I simply need someone who will take care of my son and put him first, so I'm good. Currently, we're trying to re-establish a new doc. for my son in Orlando because he's moving to go to UCF. In doing so, and in having to deal with other allergists' offices, I change my rating to 25 stars. I suppose it's all relative, but OMG...there's no comparison. Nightmare!! Dr. Wilson is very a proactive and competent doctor. I completely trust his judgment when it comes to treating my child, who has had frequent bouts of uncontrolled asthma. He spends an adequate amount of time speaking to both the parents and child. He can be gruff and has unapologetically "parent blamed" me and my husband for some of my child's asthma problems, to the point where my husband doesn't want to take my child to appointments at the office anymore.

Dr. Wilson was kind and accurately diagnosed my complex condition. I highly recommend him.
