Excellent appointment with Dr. Valerian
He was friendly and able to put me at ease. He answered all my questions. He explained next steps and took time to make sure I understand. Very efficient appointment.

Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde
Dr. Valerian is the reason I am extremely wary of basic colonoscopies. I woke up part way through and could hear him, and felt the scope being jammed inside. Following this routine procedure, I had difficulty walking, due to pain in my colon. That lasted for about a week. This is not typical. When he called to give the results, he was a completely different person than when I had first met him in his office prior to the procedure. He had been open and kind in that first meeting but on the phone afterwards, he was dismissive and condescending, speaking to me in a manner that was shockingly cold. Do not recommend.

Never going back to him. He is extremely uninformative - did not tell me what I could do (besides surgery) to help with my issue. I had to ask other medical professionals what I could personally do to help my condition (HPV infection). When I would go in for a checkup, which he had to do FOUR surgeries and showed no signs of concern, he would quickly examine me as if he wanted to just rush me out. He missed two outbreaks that I was having; luckily small and external which I got rid of with some cream. Still, he should have caught that I was having these external outbreaks, but he didn’t. Then, the aftermath of my four surgeries (multiple skin tags), he told me that I could do nothing about it. That was a lie - I am having a plastic surgeon clean up his mess. Stay away from him. Even crying multiple times in front of him didn’t phase him; he is unwilling to answer questions and stares at you as if you’re an idiot. Do not go to him.

absolutely one of the worst surgions, he would rather cut into someone blindly than to do an mri to determine whats going on. he was rude, spoke to us like we didn't have a right to know, was easily agitated when we questioned why he would just cut into someone and when we asked what he is calling the problem he offered no diagnosis and was very rough.
