I feel very comfortable during this Covid 19 going to their office for my appts. They have the safety protocol down. I've been going there for years and have been treated very well.

Dr. Shimkus is the best. Been taking Kemo since Januray and he has made it move smoothly for me. I will be seeing Dr. Shimkus for the next couple of years. Kemo has stopped and now treatment for maintenance.

Very knowledgable. Came into a bad situation with other doctors misdiagnosing stage 4 cancer for 1 year as sciatica. Moved quickly to try to find a combination therapy for an almost hopeless situation.

Dr. Shimkus has been very responsive to evaluating and trying to find solutions for my problems. His treatment recommendations have been spot on and effective. When lab results required a longer time to analyze he has directed his staff to call me and provide a clear and specific treatment plan.

I could just copy and paste what another reviewer posted about Dr. Shimkus being in a rush to leave my first and only visit. Seemed like he was on a hurry, he was there, never sat down, no more than 5 minutes. He didn't know about my colonoscopy results or blood lab work I had done two week prior. He said my CT scan looked great and if I had any questions, I asked about lab work results, he said that they didn't do them but if they didn't call me the next day that meant everything was OK. I can't say I trust them to call me if something is wrong, I was also not pleased with the nurse, she poked me several times and had to use a bigger needle on my port, something that has never been an issue at the Park St. David's location. Sure wish Dr. Vin had not left, going back to see a different doctor at Park location.

We only had an initial visit so we aren't sure if it was just a bad day for the doctor. We all have them. He was very nice but seemed in quite a rush to get through with our initial appointment. In fact, when he left the room and returned, he never sat back down. We were also there on time but waited about 30 min. to be seen. We ended up getting a second opinion with another oncologist who not only seemed less hurried but didn't believe as much gen. testing and scans was needed.
