TERRIBLE SERVICE
Wife went in due to being told by the GI Center at gateway to get in with him urgently. Her chart showed appendicitis. She went in today for her evaluation for surgery he fat shamed her and then put down her doctor for even referring her to him. He shamed her 3 times in office and then told her to lose weight because she had nothing wrong with her. A very arrogant person and was even rude with my son being in the room. Would never recommend this doctor he puts a blemish on the high standard that is the medical field. Filling a compliant with the board of directors as of today.

Where my stomach emptied into my intestine was swollen shut. The VAMC had 4 weeks but couldn't figure out what was wrong. All kinds of tests. Dr Schymik did no tests and said as he walked through the door to my room in ER at Deaconess, "I know what's wrong with you and I'll fix you in the morning." And he did. The VA had probably 20 doctors and surgeons look at me.

My ongoing experience with Dr. Schymik has been very good. I was referred by my GP for gallbladder surgery. Dr. Schymik was able to schedule me for the following week, which got me out of pain pretty quickly. He was nice, and apologized several times for running late. His demeanor could be described as rushed, but he spent time explaining the procedure & examining me. I recommend him & the ESA office. Everyone was nice & efficient. Two weeks post-surgery, I feel 100% better.

Very good doctor! I was very comfortable here. The doctor & all staff that were on my case were kind & knowledgable about any questions i had. When i had concerns & needed to be seen i was able to get in the same day. I would recommend any of my family & friends here!

My experience with Dr Schymik & Evansville Surgical Associates was a nightmare. After being told the surgical removal of an unknown mass "went well", I requested a copy of the biopsy report. A few days later the report in the mail told me the mass was malignant & hadn't been completely removed. A 2nd surgery was also botched & covered up. Only through my own diligence did I discover their mistakes & find a new surgeon, otherwise I wouldn't be alive today. I am still haunted daily by all of this
