Excellent, Compassionate Care
Dr. Pickering demonstrated excellent care, took the time to truly listen, and was effective in his follow-up. Quite honestly, it's rare you meet an MD with these beneficial qualities. My family and I are incredibly grateful to be his patients.

Great Doc Who Takes Time to Listen
My 4 kids and I have been seeing Dr Pickering for over a year now and we are so grateful! He’s great with my kids and actually takes the time to listen and build a relationship with his patients. When I call the office I always get quick feedback and good advice. Highly recommend!

This doctor has diagnosed me without ever seeing me. He had the person shadowing him ask me questions. Next thing I knew my license was suspended and I had to pay $685 out of pocket for a sleep study in order to get my license back. All I told the person that was shadowing him is I get extremely tired because I work 80 hours a week and I'm going to cut back. And he reported me to the DMV. When I went to speak with Dr. Pickering about it he had gone on a 2-month vacation with no one as a place holder. No one knew anything about what I was asking them in the doctors office. They told me to wait until he comes back from vacation. Meanwhile, I'm suspended from work because my license is suspended. I went threw a whole process of getting FMLA so I wouldn't get fired. It took 2 months and $900 later to get everything back to normal. I kept having to pay the $30 copay every time I went there to see another doctor so I could get FMLA. The bottom line is I wish I never met this doctor. It was a complete nightmare. And to top it off I got the paperwork in the mail about my driver's license being revoked ON MY BIRTHDAY!!! I deeply encourage you to stay away.

I wish that Dr. Pickering took the time to care for his patients in crisis. His profession undoubtedly presents him with ample opportunity to show compassion in one of life's more terrifying and vulnerable moments - laying in a hospital bed, suffering. Why a patient is suffering is secondary to Dr. Pickering; he seems to only care to suppress immediately apparent symptoms. He and his staff have been documented administering benzodiazepines then marking a patient as unresponsive, "no benzodiazepines administered". That alone should terrify you, should you find yourself in the unfortunate circumstance of being under his care.
