Surprise billing
I went in for an allergy and breathing test and asked about the pricing before committing to any tests, I was reassured that it would probably be low or nothing at all with my insurance. Though I know they can't make guarantees before putting claims through insurance, I was shocked to receive a 436 dollar bill. I am very cautious about medical bills as I have experienced surprise billing before, but I am very disappointed that I was not given any warning that the bill could be this high - especially since I took special care to ask before any testing. I also was told during my appointment that she didn’t believe in long term mold exposure symptoms when I expressed concern about it.

Dr Modena and all of his staff are fabulous and the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. I feel so very fortunate to have him as my doctor.

Dr. Modena is the nicest most caring doctor I've ever met. He spends time and listens and is very competent in his field. He has been very instrumental in me getting a final diagnosis for a rare disease. I would be lost without his help and guidance during this difficult time in my life he has gone above and beyond. Highly recommended!!!!

Dr. Modena
Dr. Modena is one of the best doctors I have ever visited. I had a chronic allergic condition that was severely impacting my life. Dr. Modena listened closely to my extensive background, digested the information, and worked with me to craft a treatment plan that would allow us to diagnose and manage my condition. If you are looking for the best allergist in San Diego, stop, you've found him.
