It was my first time back to the hospital for an emergency after my stroke. I was very nervous to be at a different hospital as I was rushed to Advocate Lutheran when I had my stroke. Now this hospital is closer. Dr. Port carefully read the notes from the specialists who had treated me. Initially he was going to follow a certain protocol but decided he would go with the gold standard to ensure everything was okay. He was very pleasant and professional. He also moved quickly so I knew my issue was a priority for him and he had me on my way with a treatment plan quickly. I’m grateful for his excellent care.

The worst doctor and experience in the ER I’ve ever had. I asked to have the blood they collected from me tested and the doctor refused. Then why the heck did you collect my blood? He diagnosed me with pneumonia but didn’t bother to determine if it was bacterial or viral. He claimed, even though I have insurance, that requesting blood work was too expensive! He sent in Tahir Jaffery, a Physician’s Assistant, who had no clue

So very pleased with my care from Dr Fort! As a StageIV cancer patient any visit to the ER is complicated. Dr Fort was not only very thorough but very compassionate. I’m so grateful for doctors like him, he is an asset to Northwestern.
