In April 2009 my husband saw Dr Flowers, now he is blind in one eye.He would speak to me instead of my husband, who was his patient.

Great treatment
I was misdiagnosed with glaucoma but Dr Flowers did extensive testing and said that I did not have glaucoma. No eye drops or surgery for me! Thank you Dr. Flowers!

Dr. Flowers was great. However, nothing else goes well. I have been a patient for 3 years and have always had a long wait. This office is always over-scheduled. My last appointment was mid-morning and after waiting 1 hour 40 minutes, I had to leave without seeing the doctor due to another commitment. I had received numerous reminders of my appointment time but I was the only one who honored that time. Billing has been incorrect several times and makes problems with insurance payments. The office staff isn’t the nicest and seem inconvenienced to deal with patients. The care from Dr. Flowers isn’t worth what you have to put up with from everything else.

Dr. Flowers implanted Restor lenses in both my eyes in Jan/Feb, 1918. The left eye was not corrected to 20/20, and vision in the right eye has been very foggy ever since due to an improperly centered lens. In addition, my vision in low light situations is greatly diminished due to the way the Restor achieves its multifocal properties. Dr. Flowers said he would replace the right lens, but opinions of 5 other ophthalmologists said it was too risky. In addition, one month after each eye was done, I suffered retinal detachments, including macular detachment in the left eye. I’m not necessarily blaming this on him. My issues with Dr. Flowers are that he did not adequately cover the plusses and minuses of the alternative lens options, and I believe that he shouldn’t be implanting lenses he can’t be certain are positioned correctly. If you are thinking of using him for implants, I recommend you get a second opinion on his plan for your eyes.

The best eye doctor out there. I young and found out that I have glaucoma and had to have surgery his team is the best. When I went to go to get glasses the other eye doctor saw the work that dr. flowers did and said that it was the best he has ever seen. He so good I drive a hour and 20 minutes to see him.

Thank you so much for your kind review.

Dr. Flowers has been my ophthalmologist for many years. He is on the cutting edge of everything glaucoma. He has done SLT surgery on both eyes, thus reducing pressure and I do not have to use glaucoma drops. In addition, he recently performed cataract surgery on both eyes, as well as implanted I-stents in both eyes to further assist with the reduction of pressure. He is very professional and I do not worry about my eyes since he is on the cutting edge of glaucoma technology. I highly recommend.
