bad bedside manner. surgery pusher.
Telehealth
Bad bed side manner. Will gaslight you. Would question whether I ever had kidney stones when I had a CT scan showing the stones and physically had stones I passed in person. Said he’s happy to operate but then would say he’s unsure they’re even there… Mass general has good urologists he is NOT one of them!

He may be a great surgeon but his follow up after surgery is unacceptable.

Some good, some bad
Doc is personable and will answer questions, but rushed. In terms of stone procedure the doc is fine, but question EVERYTHING. By that, I mean if you get stents, find out if he'll leave the country for 2 months the day after you get them. You also have to schedule your own removals. Before my first procedure I verbally refused a catheter but was given one anyway. I asked about antibiotics but was told they weren't necessary. I fought off sepsis and now have a permanent UTI that's made my life hellish, both from the bacteria itself and from the treatment cipro crippling me for the few years since. I don't blame the doc for that, just for the situation that got me here in the first place. I now spend thousands a year to clean up the damage from the kidney stone procedure, all because I wasn't listened to. So yes, this doc is proficient; but if some aspect seems fishy, be sure to speak up and don't take "standard procedure" as a standard answer.

I think Brian is a competent doctor, but I got a urinary tract infection, enterococcus bacteria from a cystoscopy that probably wasn't necessary. None of the risk were explained and it seemed rushed. I agreed and have had months of hell. When I started passing bloody urine with large painful clots it took weeks to get an appointment. I called repeatedly and finally got his nurse who was defensive and told me what happened couldn't have happened. . It was a frustrating experience .

Dr. Eisner is approachable and easy to talk with. He is able to connect with you via a reassuring manner and approach. He does not make you feel that your questions are ridiculous. He takes the time to make sure you have all of the information that you need to make good decisions. His staff is gracious and very helpful. He gave me my life back after almost 12 months of painfully battling kidney stones!
