RN here says Best Orthopedic Doc!
Dr Duncan treated me 3 separate times for a total of 1 broken left foot, 1 broken right ankle and a knee surgery. As an RN, I can say I’ve many years experience working with various doctors and seen various doctors for my own personal needs, and Dr Duncan one of the best! He clearly explained every X-ray in front of me, was thorough in discussing various treatment options which allowed me to have a say or opinion in what I wanted. Also, comforting words and at the same time quite honest about prognosis whether good or bad news. And of this date, Aug 19, 2024, I will be calling tomorrow for another appointment with Dr Duncan. Because leave it to me and being a bit clumsy…now it’s something else. The only negative thing I can honestly share is that obtaining an appointment is fairly easy, above average wait times in the office.

Unnecessary trauma
Three days after going to the ER, due to breaking my foot, I saw Duncan, as I was told to follow up with an orthopedic person. Upon seeing him, I was told to keep wearing the post op shoe. He said I could walk as much as I wanted, as long as I could tolerate the pain, and to follow up in 6 weeks. One week later, I returned to my teaching job, and my two metatarsal bones broke in two, thus requiring surgery. I was told by three other doctors that I should’ve been given a boot, versus the flimsy shoe, and this wouldn’t have happened. We didn’t qualify for financial assistance, and we received a large bill from them. My best bet is to talk with someone from the hospital, letting them know of this situation, and hopefully come to an agreement due to a much worse injury, after just having followed his orders.

My experience wasn't very good, had double knee replacement in june 2018, had trouble right away with noise and severe pain, had revision in oct.2018, only to make matters worse, He scratched his head said he not have problems like this before, suggested going to another doctor, I did, in may 2019 had knee replacement on right knee,by another doctor, doctor said lots wrong in my knee, said glue broke completely loose, caused lots of bleeding in the knee, I not feel like he done very good job or had a understanding of what was wrong. I read his reviews before surgery and thought he knew what he was doing, I was wrong when he told me after a total of 4 operations that he didn't know what was wrong. I tried to contact his office but I guess they like sweeping people with mistakes under the rug so they look better to to new patients. still in much pain, much noise and will eventually have to have the other knee done again too. Much Disappointed. Feeling like he abandoned me.

Dr Duncan was knowledgeable and explained clearly what was happening with my hip and what the treatment options were. I felt he was thorough and gave me all the time I required. I respect his opinion.
