My mother was in a very bad accident and had shattered her femur. Years ago, Dr Brian Cunningham had saved my husbands life so I knew that he was the surgeon that we wanted to fix my mom’s femur. He immediately worked with his staff to find a bed for my mom and get her to Methodist Hospital, and at 9 pm performed a 4 hour surgery. At 1:15 pm, she was resting comfortably in recovery. The next morning, the staff at Methodist went above and beyond to make sure every aspect of her care was taken care of expeditiously. Mom was in pain, but she cheerfully acknowledged how much Dr. Cunningham’s team and the Methodist staff cared about her and her recovery. I cannot thank him enough for saving my husband’s life and for providing a successful outcome for my mom’s difficult surgery.

My 78 year old father had Dr Cunningham fix his broken hip. He explained the surgery well, shared his decision making process, and consulted his mentor due to the complexity. He was complimentary of his team. They were efficient and effective. My dad is immediately more stable and has no pain. It was a fabulous experience.

Dangerous Doc
Did horrific partial hip replacement on my 89 year old father. 8 months later, he still can't walk. Going in for independent exam. Too much to describe here, I did it once and the web site glitched... Don't want to type it all again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND !

My 81yr old father had to have two hip surgeries in 24hour because of the hack work this doctor does. Now he’s looking had having to have another one done 2yrs later. This doctor opening disclosed to be the first surgery was done when he had strep throat(I have the recording on my phone still) after the first surgery he left the operating room with his new hip already dislocated and they wouldn’t do nothing until the next day because it was “thanksgiving” Methodist was a horrible facility for care as well. I would avoid this surgeon at ALL cost. For a hip that’s supposed to last 20yrs hasn’t even made it a full 10% or it’s expected life. My lawyers will be in touch soon after this!!!

Dr. Cunningham completed two very complicated surgeries on my right elbow. I appreciated his honest assessment of my situation and the care and attention he gave me. He truly cared about my outcome and I believe saved my arm.

Dr. Cunningham worked on a severely fractured ankle (Pilon Fracture) I received after a MVA. He took great pride in his work and wanted what was best for me - long term. He wasn't interested in simply fixing my ankle, he wanted to restore my quality of life as well, which meant a lot to me. He was honest with his assessments, giving me the potential outcome scenarios of various options I had, both short term and long term and allowed me to make an informed decision. Highly recommended.
