Absolutely do not recommend this doctor
My family had a similar experience to some of the other reviews I read here. This doctor does not have bedside manner, rushes you, lacks empathy, and genuinely shows no care in the patient. My wife was cut off mid sentence and he just walked out of the room showing no regard. He didn't even ask if we had any questions or if we understood the treatment plan! Not sure if he only treats POC this way, but clearly not a doctor that someone should see when they aren't feeling well. Find someone else at the U!

I have seen Dr. Toresdahl for my shoulder, thumbs, and hip. He is always patient and explains the situation and plan of care in detail and he is my absolute go to doctor for anything that ails me. In addition, his staff at both locations is outstanding. They are thoughtful and polite and I cannot say enough positive things about him and the people who work with him.

Wonderful experience with Dr. Toresdahl and his practice. All aspects of my interactions with Dr Toresdahl and his team have been excellent. Scheduling appts was quick and easy. I was able to have a virtual appt via Zoom and that went very well. The office team went out of their way to help quickly schedule an MRI for me. Dr Toresdahl was very personable, empathetic to the discomfort and concerns I was having, and very professional. He spent time explaining the Xray and MRI results and answered all my questions and I never felt rushed at any time. I feel I am in very good hands with Dr Toresdahl and his team, and would recommend him to my family and friends.

We had a small fracture in the wrist and although it was Friday near closing time, Dr. Toresdahl and his staff went out of their way to find us the right aircast and followed up immediately next week.

I found Dr. Toresdahl to be attentive and considerate. I am an aging athlete (60) with little patience for the inevitable decline and damage that can occur over the years. Dr. Toresdahl took my concerns seriously when other highly recommended doctors have not. He explained the details of my situation, took time to call a private PT facility for careful directions in helping me. His treatment has significantly improved my mobility and outlook.

Accurately diagnosed my knee soft tissue tears which were confirmed by MRI. Sensitive to my active life style despite my "mature" years and referred me on to an orthopedist with advanced training in knee injuries.

Horrible. Do not waste your time and especially your money. Lack of personality. Disregards how you know your body; he knows better. Leaves you guessing, doesn’t relieve pain. More concern when you can come back. Misdiagnosed.

Horrible. Misdiagnosed me and thus created an ineffective recovery plan. Then he found out he misdiagnosed me. When my injury came back- a month and a half later- he gave me the exact same ineffective recovery plan for the that he had given me when he got the diagnose wrong in the first place!!! Really??? Also- the woman he has making the appointments is hugely condescending

I had a similar if not the same experience as the person below me. The receptionist went out of her way to not have me come in and one "road block" in particular was completely outrageous and invalid. I had asked to speak to someone else who ended up being even ruder and it was 20 minutes of absurdity I have never experienced with a doctors office. The nasty receptionists do everything they can to have you not come in and create unnecessary, incorrect reasons why you cant. Worst experience EVER

The receptionist did everything in her power to dissuade me from making an appointment and put up unnecessary roadblocks that I've never experienced from any other physician at HSS in the 3 years I've been going to this hospital which usually offers exemplary service.

Dr. Toresdahl did an excellent job with helping me recover from a torn calf muscle. He was very thorough in his examination, coordinated care with my physical therapist (he even corresponded with my physical therapist during my recovery to monitor my progress!) and when I had a complication his office rapidly set up the necessary testing within Hospital for Special Surgery and the follow up appointment with Dr. Toresdahl very quickly. He relates very well with patients and is great!
