Unsatisfactory experience
Dr. Levine did a partial knee replacement on the medial portion of my left knee in August 2022. This totally eliminated the pain I had been experiencing. However, almost immediately after the surgery, I developed pain in the anterior aspect of my knee. Dr. Levine's notes from my one-year follow-up appointment stated that 'the pain is likely due to tendonitis.' I was referred to Rush University Pain Center for further treatment. I subsequently underwent two genicular nerve blocks, a trial of a spinal cord stimulator (SCS), and the implant of a permanent SCS. Ultimately, none of these procedures provided me with any relief and I have had the SCS removed. I obtained opinions from two other orthopedic surgeons, who both concluded that I was suffering from arthritic, not neural pain. If Dr. Levine had performed a total knee replacement or at the very least had provided me with a correct post operative diagnosis, I could have avoided all of these unnecessary surgical procedures.

Total knee replacement
Had a TKR with Dr Levine as my surgeon on February 20th, 2023. I just want to express my gratitude to Dr Levine for my wonderful results. I was walking within 7-10 days without a Walker or cane. I had little to no pain but of course I took my meds that Dr ordered. Did all my rehab that he suggested and am walking wonderfully. I’m 75 and have a new lease on life now. I can walk my dog every night, chase my grandkids around, just do anything I want without any pain! If you ever need a great surgeon please call him, you won’t be sorry! Thank you so much Dr Levine!

Miracle worker.

Dr Levine and his entire staff has made me so comfortable verytime I was there. My surgery experience was amazing also. I went in and came out without feeling nervous they made me feel so comfortable. I can't wait for my next surgery on my other hip. The only thing is Dr Levine unfortunately won't be doing this next surgery because he is moving to another state. But I feel confident his replacement will also do a amazing job.

A great job on a hip replacement by Dr. Levine
I recently had my left hip replaced by Dr. Brett Levine and his team at Midwest Orthopedics. They were absolutely wonderful. I met with Dr. Levine and he throughly explained to me what needed to be done and listened carefully to my questions. His staff was efficient and easy to work with arranging all the appointment details. The medical professionals at the hospital were very caring and efficient. Dr. Levine’s surgery was absolutely top notch. After the surgery he sends out follow up text messages on various topics such as exercise, diet, self care and encouragement which I found very helpful.

Total Hip Replacement
Dr Levine replaced my left hip on June 17th. This is my third joint replacement in the last seven years. Within ten days I was walking without assistance. Can’t say enough how happy I am with his professionalism and that of his entire team. Would highly recommended to both family and friends.

Gave my mom 2 new knees in a year
Dr. Levine is top notch. He explained everything thoroughly to my 84 year mom so she would not be afraid of the procedures. Her 2nd knee surgery was even better then the 1st. He is a great surgeon.

Exceptionally Skilled & Genuinely Caring
I am so pleased to recommend Dr Brett Levine, an exceptional surgeon who did my total hip replacement in early March, 2024. The experience was textbook-perfect due to Dr Levine’s skill, knowledge & the rapport he actively promotes with his patients. Worth noting is that every hospital staff member I spoke with had nothing but praise for Dr Levine as a superior surgeon & caring person…always down to earth, never arrogant.I especially appreciate Dr Levine’s commitment to supporting all aspects of his patient’s well being. His understanding of what they’re experiencing, both physically & emotionally, is demonstrated by his sending daily texts to his patients beginning the week before surgery through several weeks of recovery. Although automated, these texts are so well planned & perfectly aligned with the recovery process it’s easy to forget they are not written personally for you! I couldn’t recommend Dr Levine more highly!
