Dr. Himmelwright took ample amount of time to explain all the options available to me concerning my knee pain. His explanations and solutions were easy to follow and he laid out a very reasonable plan with which I could function. He has an easy doctor to patient manner and a great sense of humor. I would highly recommend his services.

Excellent work, my new hip at only 2 months is working very well. Minimal pain small incision very happy with the outcome. One of the best in central PA. Also he has a great team and assistant who communicates answering my questions every day.

Dr. Himmelwright has been my go to bone person for years. He actually gave me a hug the last time I went in. I think he just might feel sorry for me at this point, with all my history of injuries! Ha ha! But it meant the world to me and was all the medicine I needed to continue healing my broken ankle. He gets me in quickly, and answers all of my questions and is clear about steps toward healing.

Dr H is very personable and listens intently to my questions. He was my surgeon for my two knee replacements. He did an excellent job. I would recommend him highly.

Dr. H is a wonderful doctor. He takes the time to explain what is going on, answer questions, and present treatment options. I have had multiple surgeries with him over the past 12 years and would trust no other orthopedic dr. He gives you his full attention during your appointment & never makes you feel he is in a hurry to get to his next appointment.

First off, I think it was the least amount of time I have ever had to wait for an appointment at OIP. In and out in anout a half hour. Dr. Himmelwright was very professional but also explained every option for my condition in terms I could understand. I was happy with his recommendation, an injection and a brace, and it has helped! I do not have the pain in my knee that I had when I walked into my appointment. I would highly recommend Dr. Himmelwright.

My initial visit for my tibia plateau fracture went well. After my bone healed, he indicated that I would either need to proceed with ACL reconstructive surgery or wear a brace the rest of my life. I went through with the surgery but, when I went for the removal of the stitches, I had an infection that was treated as a surface infection. They did a wound debridement. Still, my incision would not close, so he had me go to a wound care doctor. During my last visit with him, where the wound was still not closing and I was digressing in physical therapy, he showed me the physical therapy exercises I should continue doing and said he would see me in 3 months. I sought a second opinion. The second dr removed most of my ACL and found that 5mm of my bone was eaten away by infection. I had to take antibiotics for 6 months and get blood work taken every week. I will always have a limp as a result of the delay.

Very knowledgeable and to the point. Does thorough exams and offers the best options for the patient. Easy to talk to and get answers to questions.

I don’t like OIP’s 15 minute visit rules!!! Fortunately, Dr Himmelwright takes time to explain situations!!!

Dr Himmelwright is beyond excellent and represents being an orthopedic surgeon beyond expectations. He takes as much time as needed with my visit. Diagnoses and treatment were met immediately.
