Also blew me off. Disrespectful.
This guy couldn’t have cared less about me. A quick exam in and out, and did not put a single iota of thought into my injury. Total waste of time. Would not recommend at all, not for one second.

Blown off and disrespected.
Very poor. Came in pretending to give me a careful exam (but it was a 5-minute special). Left quickly thereafter, showing no inclination to ask any meaningful questions that might help him diagnose my injury. What a thought! He could benefit from listening to and learning from Dr. Scott Antoine's observation: 'If you really listen to patients when they speak they often tell you exactly what is wrong with them.' Felt completely disrespected, and no better off than when I arrived. Wouldn't waste my time seeing him again.

Lack of follow up after father's surgery
The pharmacy mentioned it needed to speak with the operating doctor to approve pain medication after shoulder surgery and after calling the lady who answered stated she would have the doctor call in after his appointment. We found out a couple hours later after calling back this clown left for the day leaving my dad with no pain medication for a fresh shoulder surgery.

I agree the wait is long but he is a surgeon and often chooses to see patients even while he is on call with the hospital which is right behind his office. He does this so patients don’t have to wait weeks to get in with him. I will gladly wait an hour even 2 to get in with a brilliant surgeon like him. There aren’t many in the area or maybe he would have a partner who could see office patients while he saw emergencies at the hospital. Also, his office is disorganized & backwards Not his fault

Hurt Nurse in Casa Grande , AZ – Nov 17, 2018

Dr Haywood is everything I want in a doctor/surgeon, and then some. Apart from being a thorough and excellent surgeon, he makes my husband and me feel like friends, as though he is as interested in our "adventures" as he is in my health and recovery from surgery. He repaired the broken acromion of my shoulder blade; not fun for me, but I looked forward to every follow-up visit with Dr Haywood just for the pleasure of seeing him and talking with him. No need to look elsewhere!
